Rumor circulating over the weekend was that Bolden, Gholston, Olaniyan and Hicks were on the verge of dropping for the Spartans.
Well it sounds like the first domino has fallen and OLSM QB Robert Bolden has committed to them.

Dantonio OWNS in-state recruiting!
Gardner is ours. Campbell is ours. Do we even need to say more.
Damn! I was still hoping we'd get Campbell for 2010 too.
enjoy!
The Latest: NU in hunt for Bolden — 6/15/2009
Northwestern lost four-star quarterback Pete Thomas to Arizona State on Friday, but the Wildcats are very much in the hunt for Robert Bolden, a four-star signal caller that may be a better fit for their spread offense....
I don't see mention of MSU and if you look at Gholston's and Olaniyan's there is also no mention of MSU. Where's the link?
Other Brian knows his shit, I don't doubt this at all.
a oxymoron? Everyone know...Dantonio has the state of Michigan on lock-down.
Not awesome.
we'll only have to worry about him beating us one season, maybe. After all he is buried behind Cousins, Keith Nichol and Andrew Maxwell, right?
Olaniyan.. ouch, if Sparty gets him too..
We're doing pretty well at his position. I wouldn't expect to get him, or be upset if we don't. I'd rather he not go to MSU, though.
I hope it isn't true...but *shrugs* Brian what is the word with Jewon Snow and Latwan Anderson? Are there any good signs for Michigan?
Sounds like we have a battle of the insiders going on now. News of the commitment was broken by a pretty level-headed MSU guy who is usually on the ball with this kind of stuff. And yet a short while ago an insider for Michigan (well, sort of...he isn't a true "insider", he is just close to Bolden's situation and has had the pulse of his recruitment for some time) denied that any commitment happened.
As for Snow and Anderson...Snow is at camp today I believe, and Anderson *possibly* will be in at some point during the week I think. No offer for Snow yet.
Thanks Other Brian. I appreciate the info.

Sparty lock, always has been. Unfortunately.
Regardless, if all 4 of those guys are head to MSU, then that would be a hell of a haul for Sparty. 4 pretty good prospects, all with good offer lists. D'Antonio and Sparty look to be on the right track.
There is no apostrophe on Dantonio
Sparty is bringing in some recruits. I still think we will be able to have another competitive game this year and I believe we will again get ahead of them in the future. However, I think this rivalry has passed the days of Michigan owning MSU every year. It will be much more competitive now. I still think we will keep winning the majority of the games, but it will be a tighter rivalry.
Does Dantonio still own us for in-state recruiting or what? I'm confused now!
It seems as though Dantonio is in the midst of putting together a couple pretty solid back to back recruiting classes.
You know what they say about rumors - they're like buttholes; everyone has one, and most... no, wait, that's opinions. Oh yeah, when you rumor, you make a rum out of...nope, that's not it. Oh yeah, they tend to have little factual basis but instead are designed to promote some half-cocked idea that rarely comes true.
You're thinking of excuses. They are like buttholes. Everyone has one and they all stink.
The more G rated version is arm pits.
