At least Michigan State isn't in the top ten, right?  Yeah!

Full writeup at SB Nation.

Tim's ballot after the jump.

Couple changes from the draft:

  • Commenters convinced me that, despite the head-to-head result, Michigan State's embarrassing loss can drop them behind Wisconsin in the poll.
  • Wisconsin also passes Nebraska, because the Huskers' loss to Texas is pretty bad with the Longhorns at 4-4 and the game played in Lincoln.
  • Similar story with Iowa and Arizona, because although the Hawkeyes have a worse record and lost a head-to-head, they also have a very impressive win over Michigan State, and both of their losses were close games. The Wildcats don't have much on their resume outside of a nailbiter against Iowa in a fluky game.
  • I excised 5-3 USC from the poll in favor of Nevada, and dropped Virginia Tech to the #25 spot, because the James Madison loss is still an albatross around their necks, although it seems like they've turned it around a bit.

But the Wack Ballot Watchdog should be all over whoever voted for Michigan.  I love me some Michigan, but good God we're not anywhere near a top-25 team right now.

That ballot is a "joke."  Guy is shutting down his blog, so I guess his parting gift is to rank teams 13-25 in alphabetical order.  He didn't mention doing so, but I highly doubt it's just a coincidence.

Hopefully SB will remove his ballot going forward.
