Dropped Out: Georgia Tech (#12), Pittsburgh (#15), South Florida (#16), Boston College (#18), Maryland (#20), Cincinnati (#21), Northwestern (#22), Arizona (#23), Virginia Tech (#24).

Changes from the draft: Moved Minnesota down significantly, moved Boise back up, though that hinges on their win over Oregon. Said win was against Oregon's, like, fifth string QB or something and is a little dodgy. I futzed with the Big 12 teams at the end of the top ten, too.

Michigan State, a week after getting thoroughly destroyed by Ohio State, moves up 11 spots after beating a 2-5 team? Am I really reading that right?

Yea, that was discussed the other day when he posted his draft of the poll. He is having a hard time finding teams for the 11-25 spots. Every time he moves someone up, they lose. I would imagine that it is the same for other posters. They are 7-2 after all and still in the running for a BigTen Championship. They should beat Wisconsin and Purdue and if they can upset PSU then they are heading to the Rose bowl.

It's more that everyone else gave Brian a reason to drop them than that MSU gave him a reason to move them up a lot. (Also, I don't know if this had anything to do with Brian's vote, but I'd bet a lot of people expected the OSU loss to kick-start the traditional collapse and overreacted; when that didn't happen, undoing that drop is going to make them move up farther than one would expect.)
