One billboard commemorating 2,000 days since Michigan last beat Ohio State for one day. All in all I don't really care, especially since MSU's billboards last year only further proved their little brother complex. But Fanhouse has a idea for a reply:
Billboard Reply To OSU
I have an idea for a reply too: win the damn game in November.
The thread should have been locked after this one.
What the fuck is this?
"Yeah, well, we may not have beaten you in several years, but you haven't beaten anyone from the SEC in a long time, so take that."
That idea is fucking retarded.
Fuck is a very powerful word, and thus deserves ample usage. Don't even tell me there's no tone difference between "What is that?" and "What the fuck is that?"
All of our communication over the internet is done in text, therefore we are unable to use any voice tone or inflection. In order to aptly construe our point it is often important to use vivid words. "Fuck" is quite vivid.
Obviously, you don't fucking read my fucking posts very often, or else you would fucking realize that I save the fucking word "fuck" for special fucking occasions, which this fucking is.
So fuck you.
(This is a f***ing joke, so don't get f***ing angry, f***er.)
I'll meet you by the flagpole at 3:00.
Best thing about this post is the censorship in parentheses. The first 8 F***'s were perfectly fine, but it was F***'s 9-11 that were over the line.
Ever since the movie "Brokeback Mountain" came out, it seems that "fuck" is all he can think about.
Something about exploring new horizons and all of that, whatever that means.
I am gonna go with Pathetic
Do you honestly think that would be a good idea considereing how many of our own players have been in trouble with the law over the last 10-15 years?
This isn't my list so I can't guarantee 100% accuracy.
-Brian Griese was arrested for public intoxication and malicious destruction of property.
-Kelly Baraka was arrested (twice) for possession.
-Adrian Arrington was arrested for domestic abuse.
-Carson Butler was arrested for aggravated assault.
-Christian Richards was arrested twice - for aggravated assault and B&E. He later skipped bail and his arraignment, and got arrested again for that (at this point he was off the team)
-Mario Manningham was arrested for possession.
-Adam Stenavich was arrested for drunk and disorderly.
-Larry Harrison was arrested for public indecency.
-Eugene Germany was arrested for possession.
-Johnny Sears was arrested for possession.
-James Whitley was arrested for B&E and carrying a concealed, unlicensed firearm when he and David Terrell (uncharged) broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment.
-Marlin Jackson was arrested for assault.
-William Peterson was arrested for assault and larceny.
-Ray Jackson was arrested for assault.
-Bennie Joppru was arrested for drunk and disorderly.
-Chuckie Winters was arrested for assault (I know there were extenuating circumstances here)
-Will Carr, Sam Sword, and Marcus Ray were arrested for using a credit card without the owner's permission.
-Scott Dreisback was arrested for presenting a fake ID.
-Jason Brooks was arrested for sexual misconduct (he forced a woman to play with his junk, under threat of beating)
-Demetrius Smith was arrested for forging a check.
-Cato June and Larry Stevens were arrested for getting into a fight in a coffee shop.
-Shante Orr was arrested for rape.
Why not just a giant billboard of Larry Harrison flashing his junk at OSU fans? Chew on that, Suckeyes!
The Columbus Dispatch reports that Ohio State had 13 of the Big Ten's 21 recruiting violations in '07-'08 (62%). Sorta un-related because you guys are "conversating" about particular players and their violations.
Arrington's "abuse" was just him pulling his girlfriend out of the driver's seat because she was trying to stop him from driving drunk
Although I do not support drunk driving per se, I am all for doing what it takes to keep a woman off the road... which is obviously far worse
All of this combined does not top Clarett.
And, finally, this list of 24 reaches back into the 90's while well more than 30 have been arrested just since Tressel took over the Brown Butt Jugglers
Nobody's going to comment on that guy having a blog called "UMGoBlog"? It seems oddly familiar.
Someone did on another thread. Lance says he registered the site name before Brian registered his... I don't know what the truth is.
Sorry, didn't ripoff MGoBlog. To be exact my brother Phillip (editor of UMGoBlue.com) registered UMGoBlog.com, UMGoBlue.com, UMGoVideo.com, UMGoPodcast.com way back in the '90s before Mr. Cook registered MGoBlog.com. I don't view the names as a big deal due to the fact they have no creativity. I like names like Touch The Banner, Schemblogger, Hoover Street and Maize 'n Brew.
While I'm pretty sure Mr. Cook asked for and was given the URL: MGoBlog.com from Drew Montag (who writes at UMGoBlue.com), because Drew wasn't using it at the time.
Considering MGoBlog is just a riff on MGoBlue anyway, it's obviously not a huge deal. It just struck me as odd.
I say make a big banner at the game this year saying..
"3** days since your last victory vs Michigan, and counting"
Days Since You Last Obsessed Over Michigan: 0
Was this for MSU? OSU? Or both?
Ok, so, name of blog - validated. Lack of stupidity in the banner idea - unvalidated.
Why not something far less pathetic like overall wins? Or the score of the rivalry? Or not stoop to having to put up a banner at all? A better idea might be to just prove a point on the field.
+1 +1 +1. I have to say that while the instinct to retort with some witty quip came to me at first, we are superior to tO$U and need not prove it to anyone. To follow suit and waste money on a sign like this would only add to the arguement that we are not.
The best way to respond to all these billboards would definitely be a blimp. This blimp could rotate through incredibly witty and soul-piercing insults like:
Break right through that line of blue? In your dreams, mayhap.
Hey OSU, been to jail lately? Because we heard that sometimes so of your players go to JAAAILLL. PWNED!
Hey Izzo, when are you going to shave your head? Punk.
TuoO$U $uck$ e$pecially becau$e they alway$ get their a$$ beat by the $EC.
And while we're at it, $EC $peed?? Morgan Trent vs. Percy Harvin WHAT!
Am I missing any?
You forgot to mention that we can make fun of all the tO$U players that have been arrested. The blimp will be emblazoned with their mugshots! You know those Bucknuts are all a bunch of criminals!
has some dumb things to say on it, but I like the thought I guess. I say that we just wait till we win the game for once, and then put up a billboard.
...Or maybe just win and skip the billboard part.
you've given me credit for being a ELansing quality dumbass. I said blimp because it was the only thing I could think of stupider than a billboard.
And I filled it with the dumbest things I could think of, in reference to some of the things on the Spartan billboad (e.g. Leaders and Best? -In your dreams maybe).
Anyway, I love that I can try to put the dumbest things on the dumbest medium, and someone will come out and say, "Hey, that man's got something there."
Let's just win, and then not broadcast it. Little brothers do that shit.
we should just beat OSU in football. it'll be better than 500 billboards
Reading this thread made me ask this again. "Everyone" wants to get laid, right? Right? So, why isn't "Fuck You" one of the nicest things someone can say to someone else?
Umm, because I think there was a point in our evolution as a social species when going up to someone and telling them you want to fuck them started to become frowned upon. It has something to do with women as selectors, the biased ratio of women to men, and therefore woman's ability to pass up one very crude man who likely carried around low-value sperm for another who exhibited hints that he could operate in a civil society, and thus perhaps be around to help raise the children (i.e., not be in jail or killed by another less-evolved human like himself).
Michigan State proved they're the Little Brother by making a billboard.
We should make a billboard.
Most of us here understand the idea is idiotic.
would pay attention the majority of people who shot the idea down. That would hurt his argument! Logic has no place in a troll's argument.
P.S. I'm kinda surprised he even commented in this thread. The title had nothing to do with MSU at all.
This idea was so bad I had to log on and state my extremely unfavorable opinion toward it
