"He makes it really easy on you as a coach because he has tremendous football instincts," Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh said. "Things come really naturally to him. He doesn't have to see things too many times. He has a good sense for how things should look and feel, and he's a tough, physical guy."

Good news if you love Tommy Amaker. Good news if you hate Tommy Amaker. There seems to be a growing body of opinion that UM is a tournament team next year and that Amaker has assembled enough talent to demonstrate whether or not he can coach his way out of a wet paper bag.
CBS Sportsline's Gregg Doyel is the latest to chime in like so, adding Michigan to his list of ten new tourney teams for '06. Vegas odds that at some point next year CBS or ESPN shows an Amaker montage backed by "Under Pressure": pick 'em.
