This is a reassuring bit from Tom Lemming about recruiting. It almost sounds as if he's deliberately dissing on O-State:
"Numbers mean absolutely nothing," Lemming said.
"Only the ignorant recruiting fans think that's a big deal. A lot of the great players won't even make their commitments until December and January.The race in recruiting almost always goes to the tortoise, not the hare. Why do people like the Minor banner? The letters don't even line up and it looks like M^(GOBLOG).

i would love to have a larger version (1920x1080?) of Yvgeni's 'evil wolverine' as a desktop. if he replaced the 'mgoblog' (no offense) with 'michigan' or something to that effect.
i currently have a shot of the big house @ night as my desktop @ work and even the non-college football fans love it. i think this would scare the crap out of everyone who made fun of me after 'the horror' last year. of course, if/when you can, kind sir.

The contest ends here for me. It was a lot of fun and I think the 10,000 pound banner-eating gorilla that is Jason Minor definitely deserves to win it all. Awesome job Jason.
As for all of you that have said nice things about my banners, thanks a lot.
Regarding the requests for higher resolution and meaner versions of the scary Michigan guy, I have brought my old wallpapers and stuff out of retirement and am trying to figure out the best way to put them out there.
Thanks for all the support and motivation to get my photoshop chops working again.
I love the yvgeni pic and would LOVE to have as my wallpaper on my desktop. I hope he releases it for such........but as a banner for MGOBLOG, Minor's is best. It shows exactly what we need it to show.

It looks like this version of MGoBlog allows user-created images; that’d be as good a place as any to put wallpapers, I imagine—so long as it allows images that large.

Any chance we can see Minor's banner fixed up before we vote on the finals? Wasn't it supposed to have the "M" and "goblog" made more even?
The best two are in the bottom bracket. I want Minor's to win, but I'm still not sure it was his best banner in the competition. Anyways, can we see the M GoBlog evened out?
