Argh: Minor Questionable Saturday
Damn you, Angry Michigan Running Back-Hating God:
brandon minor still nicked up - not sure if he can go saturday. if he can't, cbrown will get the start. shaw, grady, smith will also play.
That's Tim twittering, FWIW.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
This still related to the car accident or from practice?
Edit: Minor is nursing an ankle injury suffered early in camp.

Will the sun every come back out daddy???

Yeah, I just saw this on Rivals.
I was really looking forward to seeing him this Saturday. Damn it.
On the other hand, could this be Brown's time to shine? We'll see. Hopefully, Shaw is geared up to go, as well.
We're almost there. Go Blue!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Seriously, why can't this guy catch a break?
OK, so this is a bummer, but, really, if Michigan cannot beat Western without Minor, we should just give up on hoping for anything better than a 3-9 season again.
Your right, UM won't be successful just because of one player this year or even this game, UM needs success at positions all across the field.
For everyone to pin all their hopes of a win on one player is too shortsighted for me. It does hurt but there is depth and what seems to be plenty of players ready to prove their worth. Also, based on the way he worded the tweet, he could still be a viable option for the 2nd half maybe.
Current Smug rating: "lethal"
Agree with the fuck sentiment.
Spring Lake has a good point. If Brown goes ape shit will that significantly reduce Minor's role when he gets back? I've been really wanting to see Brown in a much more prominent role but I like Minor, too. Of course, who really knows if Brown is better than Minor or not?
Dear God,
Thanks a shitload, man.
Signed,
Michigan Faithful
or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
Rich Rod announces that everyone everywhere will probably see some time on offense at some point in the WMU game.
I call dibs on slot ninja...
This is his time to shine, let's see what he does with this opportunity.
I love both and I think Brown will step up big. A great game by him could earn him more playing time throughout the year, with Minor and him being 1A and 1B. This is the deepest position, we will be fine. Carlos Brown is fast fast. I wouldn't be surprised if he rushes for 150. Shaw and Smith will also tear it up.
Brown breaks a 70 yard TD on the first drive. You heard it here first folks.
Wouldn't be too surprised. He has a knack for getting big runs.
I dislike the use of these words because I automatically assume superficial injuries (like cuts, scratches, etc). Obviously in Minor's case, he is more than "nicked up" to be questionable three days before the game. He's gotta be "banged up". There, that's more like it.
I'm gonna take two weeks off, and then quit.
Why do the running back gods hate us? Only Iowa is hated more. We need to do a rain dance or something.

and Shaw, Brown and Minor have only demonstrated it intermittently. It's probably not an issue because they all seem competent when healthy and there are three of them plus the freshmen. But there will very likely be a significant rotation in the backfield this year.
...the Canadians make up for it with their emotion and classic ice-dancing skill.
I think Shaw and his sports hernia is a bit different.
i didn't hear how it happened. anyway, i'm leary of injuries...but also not really sure what constitutes "average injury prone-ness" in college football. some kind of attrition study would be cool.

It's not exactly something you have control over.
It's probably asking too much for any Michigan running back to be healthy for all 12 games.
This really does suck.
atleast U M has more than just Minor. I believe Brown, Shaw, and V Smith will all step up if he's absent. Even though Minor is our biggest playmaker, U M has alot of depth at RB. If a starter on the DL or at CB was questionable it'd be a bigger deal.
We all know by know this isn't the 1st or last time Minors' ability to be 100% for any given game will be an issue. I expected to see plenty of rotation at RB in any case and a 100%
C.Brown is not what I'd call a down grade in any way shape or form.
Quite sure there are 21 others who will be unaffected come Sat.
not to mention we may get an earlier look at what the future (like next year) RB's are capable of. Personally one V.Smith is a player who may benefit.
opinions are like........
Just sounds highly disturbing and a little....very dirty.
MIIIIIIIIICH
I blame Brian. He invoked AMRBHG too many times in the tailback preview. Thus the hateful god woke from his offseason slumber and smote Brandon's ankle with minor vengeance and furious irritation.
I propose we start referring to AMRBHG as "You Know Who" in order to avoid further incidents.
the crying on the inside kind, I guess.
"Play hard and with great effort"
Fine, but no one bring up the Angry Michigan Secon...
Uh, nevermind.
There must be an Angry Bronco-Hating God whose attention we could redirect away from Denver with appropriate sacrifices.
Michigan Resurgent? Michigan Resurgent!
Cubby, add the wolverines!
Well, compare Iowa's and Michigan's situation. Iowa loses Jewel Hampton, and now former walk-on Paki O'Mera is starting. Minor goes out, and we have a plethora of RBs to step in for him (Brown, Smith, Cox, Shaw, Grady). Be glad we have depth at RB, at least.
If there is a even a hint of injury, save Minor and unleash him on Notre Dame. We don't need to risk him against Western Michigan. If we lose this game after a 3-9 season, after losing to Toledo last year, after this week's indignities, the scent of the loss to Appalachian State still lingering in the air-- no way Minor makes or breaks us this Saturday. This team should need no motivation and should be ready to tear flesh from bones at every position on the field. I don't want Minor to pulverize a MAC team at 75% fitness; I want him rested and ready for the bell weather game on the 12th. Sleep softly, Brandon. relaaax. your time is coming, son.

boooo AMRBHG boooo
No question, Jim.
