Thank you, sir.
All signs point to Michigan for Austin White
Great news! I may be up to 900 points by the end of the day, I'm having trouble keeping up with the barrage of threads.
If this happens, I'll do you a mitzvah and give you -1 on every post after 10pm. Sleeping is important.
He's not a babby.
Gordie, I'll let you stay up till 11:30pm, but no reading in bed.
How is babby formed?
Babby is borned.
i'm 23 and am in bed no later than 9:30. how sweet is my life.
Do you live in your mom's basement and work at McDonald's too?
good night, no books, i will put on the radio though, maybe a little Savage Nation or Coast to Coast
Minus 1! It's AFTER YOUR BEDTIME GOSH DANGIT!
Now Gordie, Shock made this deal because he thought it would help you get some sleep. But I did said you could stay up later. So why should you pay for my mistake? Here's a point. Just don't tell Shock.
Whatever you say. You are a points God, I see you have surpassed MichFan1997. You are like Bob McAdoo back in the day with the Buffalo Braves good for about 35 points a Thread.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the info
1st B-Inge is an All-Star and now this. Can life get better? I submit that it cannot.
Burn Notice is back on tonite after a week hiatus. This improves today that much more.
I submit that it can...with a NC win.
First let's just get to a bowl game. We can worry about a NC in a few years.
I wasn't saying that I expect one, just that it would make things better than a senior in high school possibly committing to the team in a week. FTR, I know he was joking and I was just going along with it.
Thanks, that's great news
If he commits, is he the last RB we take? Do we shut down on Eduardo Clements and Brandon Gainer or go after them too?
IMO, they'll stay on Clements.
IMO, Gainer and Clements are guys you take no matter what, assuming there are still spots in the recruiting class.
Minor, Brown, and Grady are gone after this season.
I assume if Gainer wants to sign up, Hopkins will be, umm, nudged out.
We shall see..!
But we don't do that at Michigan!
Jordan Barnes, Dwayne Peace.
I was being sarcastic.
It was preemptive against people that really think we don't.
Michigan does not nudge people out. Rich wrote Dwayne Peace's phone number on a bar napkin, you know, the one with the lip stick on it? Well, three martini's and a dip in the hotel fountain later and *WHOOSH*, goodbye napkin!
And Barnes, he was just kind of a douche. Coach offered to have Maurice Taylor pick him up from the airport, but the dude was like, "No thanks, I'll walk." Something about not feelin' safe...roll cages, er something. I don't know. Point is, Michigan is a school of decent folk. Those guys just didn't quite fit in
The offer lists are night and day and I don't think RR would take 2 jumbo backs. You're normally spot on though, so I guess I assumed wrong. I'm more of a fan of Carlos Brown type than Brandon Minor type RBs anyway.
Who's the other jumbo back?
Gainer is listed at 6' and 194 lbs., which means he's probably 5'10" or 5'11" and 185 lbs.
Clements is listed at 5'10" and 185 lbs., which means he's probably 5'9" and 177 lbs.
I think the coaches might leave room for Clements, but not Gainer. Gainer really isn't all that special. Despite his "jumbo" size, he doesn't break many tackles. So his jumbo-ness is somewhat wasted.
He doesn't break tackles because he is always taking a dive, you know, doing a "half" Gainer. lol
I would not think so. Anyone can decommit at any moment we definitnely will not shut em down. Maybe slow play, but I would think/hope we go hard after Eduardo.
IMO, Eduardo has the perfect skill set for our offense. Its us against Miami and FSU. From what I hear, Georgia is out b/c they just signed Malcome and look good for Mack Brown.
If he does commit, I submit that he'll benefit greatly from a year or two of Barwisization -- he's got a lean frame but it looks like he could add quite a bit of bulk easily.
Very nice. Lets hope we don't jinx this though.
Oh and STATE DOMINATES THE STATE IN RECRUITING BRAH! Boom, BaM, Whammm, Kazaaam, suck on it!
Don't worry about that -- he's about to magically transform into a recruit that MSU never wanted.
Must have learned that trick from Cameron Gordon
isn't it amazing how that works?
You mean the same way Dior Mathis & Lo Wood are now viewed as expendable by some in our fanbase?
I was thinking Cam Gordon.
Don't piss on my parade!
Has he responded to any of your Inge posts yet? I'm interested to hear what Jay has to say about the Tiger's fourth all-star
so you think he's the greatest 3rd basemen of all time. I don't know if I'd go that far.
This would help with the whole MSU owning the Mitten nonsense, but we'll get more "he's only a 3 *" talk. Not sure which is worse, but I would definitely like to see him go Blue.
I think White will be a 4* when it's all said and done. Rivals has him the #32 RB, and #29 is the last 4*. He has impressed at camps so I have a good feeling he'll be seeing another star.
but I think that's where the Angry Michigan Recruiting Hating God steps in and gives the extra * to Nick Hill.
Wouldn't that be something.
Already has White as a 4 star
we only liked Rivals' rankings. Are we back to liking Scout again this year? If so, can we put any pressure on them to make a web site that doesn't make my eyes bleed after looking at it for more than 5 minutes straight?
Posted again just for fun. Number 23. Hell, he even throws a touchdown pass around 5:20 or so!
I'm only saying it because I can't think of a better comparison, but he reminds me of McGuffie minus the absurd athleticism. Very versatile, cuts and accelerates very well, stretches east/west well, and is good in space. He doesn't seem to have an extra gear, though.
Scout is obviously higher on him than Rivals. I still submit the reason he dropped off in the rankings was because of the 4.71 forty that was reported earlier on -- the offers don't lie.
I would imagine that some folk will say why recruit him then? But then again, some folk will never let a kid develop before deciding to label them a bust..
Again, that's just the first thing that popped into my head. I expect someone to take issue with that comparison, and that's fine.
Obviously still a great player, though.
This is great my cousin made the highlight reel #9 LB about 2 mins in but great news on the Austin White front should be a superb addition. Whats going on with this Branden Gainer kid never heard much of him now it seems UofM is gunna make his top 3 and is strongly considering UofM. Would we take another RB? with two already in this class. (assuming Drake move too slot ninja)
I wonder why he has changed his mind about committing now. I don't think he ever made his visit to LSU as he was talking about a few weeks ago when he said that he hadn't yet found the school for himself. Wonder if he still plans to go on an official down there.
Would be a good get for a complimentary back regardless
it'd be because he realized UM wasn't gonna hold a spot for him
You should post here more.
Then should he commit it might be safer to think of him as only being soft so as to be prepared should he make an official visit away from UM.
to see if they'll take the commit when he still plans to take officials.
That said, of course, we've got other "commits" who are talking about taking their officials as well.
I guess every commit has to be considered soft at this point, theoretically.
Yeah your probably right, how does RR view commits and OVs does he encourage kids to still take their visits after committing or is it like ND where once your committed your essentially done visiting.
I second that emotion.
are we going with,
A) OMG, not another 3* scrub or,
B) yeah, instate RB will be Doak Walker winner in 2012!
C)LOLZZZ Michigan dominates in-state recruiting! MSU SUCKSSS!
scout is reporting the same.
...and he will announce his commitment on July 15th, next Wednesday.
Austin White is not needed at Michigan. As someone who is familiar with the WLAA/KLAA, he is a jacka**. Big jerk. Check out the stories on his brothers at Moo U . Also, why did his coach resign at the end of last season? He has since returned, but why would a coach leave at that point. There are only so many times you get to coach D-I talent. RR doesn't need the headache.
check out TomVH's comment about his impression of the young man after doing the interview...
You have no idea what you're talking about.
I'm going to go out on a long limb and predict that 1) you're a troll and 2) you won't be around much longer.
sounds like he has got some SWAG
but better news would be getting help on defense ... that said im really starting to feel good about our RB situation for years to come, so much depth and promise
YES!! If it happens this is great. Everyone can say MSU owns in-state all they want but I'll take William Campbell, Devin Gardner, and Austin White anyday!
Does anyone know when it is?
My subscription just ran out, and after 7 months I can officially say it is not worth the money.
However, they still send teaser emails, and this one was pretty upfront:
"Are the Wolverines on verge of football commitment #16?
A high-4-star running back is making his announcement next week! He gives GBW his decision-date.
Plus - don't miss the first-hand-observer commentary on the GBW Premium Message Board on how the team is doing, position by position.
And only GBW has video and interviews with basketball commit Evan Smotrycz, live from the Lebron James Skill Camp ... and the latest there on Manny and Peetie as well!
It's inside info each and every day ... for a *recession-proof-price* of just 30 cents a day!
Scout.com - Always on our Game"
At least there's no worry of another school swiping him last minute
is Peetie? You would think they could at least spell our stars' nicknames correctly.
