"All In Pack" = Season Tickets??

Has anyone else gotten an email offer from the UM ticket office to purchase an "All In" ticket package for up to 4 seats for every home game? I'm on the season ticket waitlist, but the email is unclear as to whether these are actual season tickets that will be renewable next year and so on. Of particular weirdness is that it states that the seat locations will vary for each game. Just curious if others are getting this offer, and if they are the 'real thing'...

I assume they had a bunch of non-renewals with the Michigan economy so they're trying to pawn off season tickets without actually giving you season tickets. The $400 total is great-- that's below the ticket prices if you buy singles at face value through any of the other alumni tickets purchase opportunity.

If I didn't have my first child coming in late September, I'd be on this like 15 yr old virgins from Florida on Tim Tebow at a Jonas Bros concert.

"So I come out of Ohio Stadium after we beat the Buckeyes, and right there on the hood of my friend's car, some one took a dump, in the shape of an 'O'. no shit. Oh, sorry, bad pun."

I received this offer as well. I also received a similar offer last year, except that one was every game except homecoming. I've donated to the Victors Club for the last two years, so I figure that's why I've received them. I live halfway across the country, but I figure I might as well get them even if I won't be able to make a game. I don't know if it would be possible to find ND, PSU, and OSU tickets all for less than $400, let alone all the rest of the tickets too, so I ought to be able to find buyers.

I asked specifically and the Ticket Office said this pack is nonrenewal for 2010.

I bought the Go Blue Packs the last 2-3 years, which like wile_e8 said were all games but homecoming.

Could people shed a little more light on these ticket packages that aren't actual season tickets? I'd love an opportunity to get season tickets on a year-to-year basis because I can't afford the donations for the waiting list at this point in my life.

Right now I get the two ticket packets through the alumni club (got OSU tickets this year, which is awesome), but I'd love to get to every game.

This is the first, and only relevant paragraph in the email I got from the ticket office. Not sure it sheds more light, but this is what they say regarding the "All In" package. I do intend to call them on Monday to find out more, but from the comments to this post, this really seems to be a non-renewal package. Not sure that you can request it; it seems to be a luck-of-the-draw. I certainly haven't done anything to receive the offer other than to stay on the list....

"Dear Waiting List Member,

As a valued member of the Michigan football season ticket waiting list, the University of Michigan Athletic Department would like to recognize and reward your loyalty and patience. It is in that spirit that we offer you the opportunity to purchase an “All In” ticket package for $400 for the 2009 Michigan football home games:"

even if you get the season tickets. I've been paying the $50 per seat "donation" the past few seasons. I always bought the "packs" each year. Usually they were every game except homecoming, but this year it's for all of the games.

Granted, you won't get to renew these seats, but if you keep making the donations, you'll get a chance to buy these packs every year, until you get the season ticket option.

I used to get the tickets through the Alumni Association for a couple games also. Now my brother-in-law works there and is able to snag 4 for Ohio State for me also.

My season ticket info said I still need to make the "donation" going forward, at this stage it becomes your PSD.

It all depends on the games and the team for that matter. I'll assume the three your girlfriend would go to are ND, PSU, and OSU in which case I would have say you are going to have a tough time getting face value especially for a single ticket. I got $30 for an extra pair to Miami last year and I was on the goal line 6 rows up.

Even when Blue is solid, you'll get more (and in this case, closer to face value) the farther ahead of time you sell them. If you sell them now (and tell people you'll ship once you receive them), the tickets are "hard to get" as fewer people sell in the early summer as opposed to season.

Posting them on alumni sites is always money, too. If you have any connections who can do that for you, do it.

This is the first time I recall the "pack" being offered to non-wait listers.
