Mike Lantry, 1972
Ali Haji-Sheikh/Michael Taylor
His name is one of my first memories of Michigan football.
He left Michigan with a year of eligibility left to enter Harvard Law. Bo said he had to go to Harvard because Michigan Law wouldn't admit him. He was a player. When asked why he was leaving early, he basicly said, "Been there, done that. Time to move on." I really enjoyed watching him.
I got John Kolesar and Kenny Higgins mixed together. I feel better now that I have come to my senses.
You 'da man.
The stadium crowd used to salute him with "Aleeeeeee Hajiiiiiiii Sheeeeeeikh!!!" after he made a big field goal. He hit a couple a sweet 50+ yarders during his Michigan career.
According to wikipedia, Haji-Sheikh has five children, named . . . Jesse, Abbey, Benjamin, Matthew and Emilie.
Post is up. Not surprisingly, he's an accomplished teacher and all-around good guy.
Emil -- you have the wrong receiver from that vintage. Ken Higgins was the WR who left with a year of eligibility to go to Harvard law.
