Via the axeman himself:

TUSCALOOSA -- It hasn't been announced officially yet, Alabama coach Nick Saban said tonight on his radio show, but he announced it anyway:
Alabama will play Michigan in 2012 in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

I'll be looking forward to listening to Paul Finebaum's show on the ride home tomorrow on my Sirius radio... remember, RR rejected Alabama the year before he came to A^2 and judging by callers to Finebaum's show, they think they're just the smartest people on the planet for "not accepting Rodriguez"

it seems saban has a history of doing neutral site games.  Per this espn article:

http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/14417/alabama-to-play-michigan-in…

Saban said Alabama would also play games in Atlanta in 2013 and 2014 against ACC opponents. The Crimson Tide played a neutral site game in each of Saban's first three seasons at Alabama, facing Florida State in Jacksonville, Fla., in 2007 and then Clemson in Atlanta in 2008 and Virginia Tech in Atlanta last season. Alabama's marquee nonconference game this season was Penn State, and the Tide will play at Penn State next season.

I just like to see Michigan play awesome teams.  I was there when FSU came to town and stomped Michigan in 1991 (I was like 7) and I thought it was so cool that we played FSU even though we got destroyed.  I'd take that kind of atmosphere any day over a 10-2 season with wins over cupcakes.

If I remember correctly, which I may not be, that was a close game until the final Grbac INT.  Bowden used every trick in the book and we played catch up right after the Buckley INT.  The score wasnt reflective in how we kept on going down and kept on coming back.

Speaking of schedules, that was a tough one and we did ok.  At  BC was the first game, then ND, and to top it off, FSU.  We were ranked #2 and they were #1.

I rather we play a tough, but not impossible, schedule because we play to our opponents with a few exceptions.

I agree we will likely "take a break" against ND from 2012-2013, based on this.  All non-conf games are tentative and even if they are "scheduled," you can wiggle out of them (as opposed to conference games - we are definitely playing at Neb and OSU in 2012.

Plus, ND did their own version of UM-Alabama, as they will play Miami (YTM) at Soldier Field in 2012, not to mention their trip to Ireland to play Navy.  Unless they are gluttons for punishment, it looks like ND is playing Miami (instead of us) and we're playing Alabama (instead of ND).

I really hope Tater's Mlive username works on that Al.com story. Might as well start whipping the Tide fans into a frenzy.

Have you talked to anyone about ticket prices. I live about 5 hours from there so I hear the seats that are high enough that you have to duck under airplanes are still crazy high. Have you heard the same things? I was told that the worst seats in the house can go for around $150, but don't know if I trust the source. That seems awfully high, but you never put anything past Jerry Jones.
