I have been reading the site all afternoon now and thought of something. I am looking for serious opinions here and not promoting anyone, just discussion. What do you folks think of picking up a kid like AJ Westendorp out of Holland Christian. Played for Willie Snead's spread attack and led his team to the Div 4 Michigan state championship. I looked and I don't think he is even on the radar of Rivals and Scout. He is not fast, not ninja quick or anything, but one hell of a competitor. If you watched his last game, you could see that he had a very good arm and played through some pain. He was composed and did all the right things...even set a record or two for QB's in the finals. I am not his Dad or anything but am wondering if he could be a viable pick up in this years class? What do you think?
Rivals suggested that he might walk on in the fall.
I don't think he'll get a scholarship offer.
That is waht I thought about his status. I think he would be a much better option than Sheridan.....just my opinion. But then again, why are even trying to guess how these guys will pan out?
My brother LOVES him. I only saw one game (The State Championship), so I can't really comment on him. He seems to have good measurables, whatever that means, but he isn't rated too highly.
Maybe because he played in a lower division??
As long as his arm is better than Sheridan that would be sweet if he walked on. The more the merrier at QB
He and Nader Furrha (sp?) will be preferred walk ons, if they choose.
Do you sleep?
He lives in Arizona. It's not very late there.
We don't have daylight savings time here, so I'm 2 hours behind Michigan........but also I don't sleep.
I have a sneaking suspicion that if I put up a giant spotlight with a block M in the AZ night sky right now, you would come to my rescue.
Do I sleep? LOL
his arm's way better than Creeping Death
Please come to Michigan
