2009's design. "ALL IN FOR MICHIGAN" is a phrase I'd be interested in learning the origin of, but I really love the pledge on the back. All in all, I'm pleased with the design.

i assume the design will be updated to include the rest of the games.
i feel like the shirts are getting goofier looking each year. my favorite was the 06-07 ones that were just plain with the list of accomplishments.
I liked it better when our student t-shirts bragged about our program's accomplishments (as in 2003 and '04). Posting the schedule on the back is something any team could do.
yeah i agree. i do like the student pledge on this shirt though.
"He has an uncanny ability to get kids to believe in him and believe in themselves. He doesn't do it with smooth words. He's not smooth. He does it by being the same genuine person day after day." ~Jason Whitlock on Brady Hoke
I think the pledge is really cheesy and really don't want to wear that at games this fall. The front is pretty generic as well.
I'm guessing it will be like most other adidas shirts and be some radioactive hue of maize and the lettering will be closer to black than blue.
Brady...Hoooooooke!
The '03 shirt was by fast the best to date... I just wish I could find mine. (A friend of mine would update his shirt after each game - just using tape to replace the numbers)
This is really kind of bad. I think my favorite one from the past few years was the last ill-fated attempt at Blue Outs in 2005, but that season didn't pan out too well so we won't speak of it again. Anyway, this one is pretty generic and the pledge seems really manufactured, but that's how I felt about the "The Team, The Team, The Team" one until I was educated on its history. If anyone can make sense of this "Big House Pledge," by all means, do so.
decidedly contrived as far as i can tell. hope i'm ignorant.
...the Canadians make up for it with their emotion and classic ice-dancing skill.
They neglected to add:
I will jingle my keys in a menacing fashion.
No radio. Nothing of value.
That's a phrase that fits more with a 1909 church retreat than the 2009 football season. I know times change, but if that thing had been brought out when I was in school in the '70s all the diehard football fans I knew would have mocked it mercilessly.
I'm guessing the "All In" is from No Limit Hold 'em? Maybe they should have tried the burn the ships thing? It's available now that the B-Ball team is stranded someplace until Nov/Dec.
It is actually maize (or at least a normal yellow) instead of the fugly neon-green yellowish atrocities they made last year. I'll give Adidas a mulligan, but NEVER AGAIN!
Maize is yellow. My copy of Webster's defines it as "the color of ripe corn; yellow." I don't know why people have this idea that maize is something kind of yellow-orange shade. It's not.
Nobody disputes that Maize is yellow. However, when I attended the Utah game last year, the student shirts were LOUD. I remember repeating to myself "do not look directly at the shirts" for fear that I would suffer permanent blindness. They reminded me of Oregon's hideous flaming neon-yellow uniforms (which still make me cringe, by the way).
I know the student section should stand out, but seriously?
that pledge is the sort of corny crap i'd expect from ND
that is awful. Are you sure that's the final design and not simply one of the options upon which we will vote? Because the student body has received an email every year I've been here and we get to choose our favorite of three selections. Did they do away with good old democracy this year? adidas is hitting below the Mendoza Line since they got the contract.
This is the design they show you on the student football ticket application under "view design".
The Pledge is cheesy, stupid, contrived, and ridiculous. A la the "HARD EDGE" sign painted in the tunnel.
This stuff isn't Michigan. Nor is much of what I see coming out of the Athletic Department and the football program as of late. (cue someone bringing up Bo and '69 in 3...2...1...)
I agree that the pledge is kind of cornball, but I don't really know what you mean by certain things "not being Michigan."
Was it "Michigan" when Lloyd Carr stuck 110 rock-climbing picks into the ceiling of the team meeting room before the 1997 season? (He did a similar "One brick in the house" thing a couple of years later.) Was it "Michigan" when our basketball team wore "Queme los Barcos" shirts the last two weeks? It seems like RichRod gets held to a more rigid standard on this stuff than everyone else, including his predecessor.
Spanish references to unleashing hell, no holding back is BADASS. Pledging to be the biggest and bestest fans is EMBARRASSING.
Agree with Geaux Blue 100%.
This is sooo corny. I may not buy a shirt for the first time in my student-career. And if I do, it'll only be to wear to the gym so I can continue to wear my 2006 one. That is far and away the best one of my career here.

I may have missed something, but you know it. Plus the front of that is sweet too.
It's Great to Be A Michigan Wolverine
what's up with the schedule on the back. It only has 8 games on it and skips like 3 weeks
