Tom Lindley and Adam Barker...will they play dt? Both have the size to play on the dline, with the lack of depth they sure could help.
Lucky enough to have my own JT wristband!!
Gardner is on that top 10 players to watch list as well. It would be great to get him in the class too.
RR is very investing walk-ons and giving them the opportunity to earn a scholarship having been one himself at WVU.
This is a good thing for the program.
What exactly however does it mean to be a "preferred" walk-on?
our package is our package, and it’s pretty big. - Greg Mattison, Bowl Practice Presser Tr. 12-13-11.
is a spot for these guys on the roster, but they will not be given a scholarship.
"They're stuck with that quarterback (sophomore Braxton Miller) for the next two or three years, that's fine with me. He throws worse than (Tim) Tebow. - Steve Everitt
I think they are recruited and offered a spot on the team if they are willing to walk on rather than take a scholarship.
On the other hand an ordinary walk on would have to try out for the team. This player would have to be more proactive; probably contacting the coaches to let them know their intention of playing football. Or a team may have an open tryout for the student body. I think UM had this last year.
especially the news about Ricardo Miller. Sounds like he will be a top 25 guy, maybe even top 15.
