OT: Obligatory Friday "What are you doing?" Posbang Thread
Its that time again! Time to find out what everyone is up to this fine Friday morning/afternoon. What are you up to? Any good plans for the weekend?
Me, I'm sitting at my desk as usual. Trying to stay awake. I've been up since 12:30am taking care of child-rearing obligations and I'm exhausted. Staring at a computer screen does not help keep the eyes open either.
Still trying to sell my car and get a new one. Selling a car as a private seller is a lot of damn work. Not to mention the fact that I've gotten 2 scam emails thus far. They are hilarious. The respondent is claiming to be at sea without access to cell phone but access to email. They say they'll pay asking price and ask for my PayPal account because that's the only way they can pay. Idiots. I responded to one saying "Nice try. Go scam someone else. Oh, and I just reported you to the authorities." F-ers.
P.S. I'm going to posbang my own thread again because its fun and it feels good.
P.P.S. Chick-fil-A for lunch today! Mmm mmm good.
Eating a frozen pizza and kicking ass in Randall Lab.
had Freschetta Brickoven? it is the Cadillac of the frozens.
I have not, but that may well be in my future. My parents bought me a case (36 ct) of Digiornos for the summer. They love me.
If in Chicagoland, definitely get frozen Gino's East pizzas. Blows the doors off 99% of fresh pizza restaurant pies.
/not stalking
Used to go home with a buddy on breaks and go there. My brother lives there now and sent me 3 for Christmas. It was the best Christmas gift since I got my official UM helmet a few years back.
Fracking creeper. We're moving to Chicago at the end of July, so I will delight my tastebuds with your suggested flavor disk then.
but you can also now ge Gino's East frozen in select grocery stores in Chicago. I also recommend Home Run Inn in Chicago (both the restaurant and in-store frozen) varieties.
Having breakfast at my brother-in-laws house in Oregon. Believe I'll have a beer now.
Along with Andy Griffith, Marylin Monroe (posthumously), Greg Schiano, Alexi Lalas, Paul Coffey, Heidi Klum, Smush Parker (???), Morgan Freeman, and Alanis Morrisette.
Also celebrating the last of my days in Cleveland! Woohoo!
Happy birthday to you all.
But mostly to Heidi Klum
Office hot chick is wearing a t-shirt dress that is not much more than a t-shirt....
Le sigh....
God bless casual Friday...
Studying for BEC of the CPA Exam.
Wow, aren't you a lucky one, have fun!
It isn't too bad, I have been using Becker, so it just takes awhile, but its not awful
a double header because of rain yesterday. Probably a good eight or nine hours starting at three, but then almost a week off. Watching some of the WCWS and eating for now.
Working until 4:30...like everyday.
Heading to Ashley's after work to meet a buddy and have some brews. We will probably get dinner down there somewhere. Not sure yet.
Stop by Meijer on the way home. Pick up some groceries. Buzzed shopping can be dangerous though. Everything looks good.
Watch Tigers and pass out early. I would be "Drunk On Higgins" but the weather sucks and it's too cold to swim in still. Hopefully in the next couple weeks the lake will warm up a bit so swimming can be tolerated.
Working on a statistical analysis of the greatest rivaries in American sports. Exciting, I know.
...of whatever your job is. I would totally kill five hookers to make my job involve statistical analysis of sports.
I'm just tired of the other stuff so I'm doing this instead. I really have a lot of work to do, just not doing it b/c its Friday.
I'm guessing the stastical analysis of sports is personal. So maybe you should kill the five hookers for a job that provides you with enough free time to perform personal statistics of sports.
For my nieces' Bday parties this weekend. They turn the big 0-1. Let's hope this doesn't end in a washout....
Somehow found some motivation to get a bit of work done. Now I get to eat some ribs! Yum!
Your boss sure knows how to incentivize his workers.
I have the day off today and I plan to get in a long bike ride, walk the dog, chillax on the hammock before happy hour and tasty Belgians. Tomorrow I'm painting the baby's room - only 10 more weeks!
I'm at work.
And I demand that anyone who reads this negs the held out of me. In fact, if you could create an additional account and neg me again. I'd ask you do so...fortunately or unfortunately, you have to have so many posts before you can pos/neg.
I can't neg myself for being at work. So I'd like someone who doesn't rate posts to neg me just this once for being at work on Friday, working through lunch on Friday, and having no intention of leaving work before 5pm on a Friday. Especially for someone who works in college athletics...this is supposed to be our relax time and time off. Neg, Neg, NEG!
I dont know how to neg the held [sic] out of someone...

Also I refuse to negbang someone in a posbang thread.
Back in Michigan for a few days. Mom just had her hip replaced. So I'm sitting in the surgery waiting room at Borgess "getting work done" while waiting for her to get out of recovery.
Hey turn around I'm waving at you right now!
For real?
I just left Borgess, I did wave as I passed the OP waiting room though.
on a beatiful friday afternoon...being a consultant has its perks
And I love it
Tomorrow night I'm celebrating Inti Raymi, the second largest festival in South America (after Festival). Incan festival, Beotches.
I am also doing that. tips are appreciated. (finance)
You want to be comfortable. Plus, if you ever get nervous, you can remind yourself that you know you're in your boxers and the person interviewing you still thinks you're acting professionally.
It doesn't make much logical sense, but I've done this before and it always seems to provide a little bit of a mental edge.
Find a quiet open space where you can stand and walk around while you talk. Because the person you're interviewing with can't see you, they're missing out on a lot of non-verbal cues such as eye contact and facial expression. You can make up for that with positive voice inflection, and you're less likely to sound stagnant and boring if you're up and moving around then you are if you're sitting still.
Imagine that your interviewer is on the other end of the phone buck naked. Begin the conversation by mentioning to them how nice they look - in your mind's eye.
People like to be flattered!
In that case change "buck naked" to "in a burqa". Problem solved.
Good luck on the interview! Be relaxed yet respectful, and you should do just fine.
