fair point that
Just your friendly MGoBoard reminder that this weekend many of our Wolverines will not hear their names called in the NFL draft. And that's OK. There are 120ish D1 programs or approximately 13,800 "jobs" for people to play college football. In the NFL there are 1590 jobs (on the "active roster, which doesn't mean you'll get to suit up on Sundays).
Many of our favorite Wolverines are done with Football. Some might become NFL stars, long-time special-teamers, have a cup of coffee, make practice squads, play arena league, or somewhere in between. And that's all awesome. How many people do you know that took a year or two off after graduation? Some travelled the world, some just bummed around, some saved up money for grad school, etc. Making a practice squad is nothing to sneeze at. None of these kids are failures, even if they don't get drafted.
Here's hoping that all of our Wolverines have great football experiences going forward. Go Blue.
