I did not make this headline up
University of Michigan
Title says it all: Provided you could ask him anything, what questions would you ask?
UM ranks #9 in US (#11 in world) among schools with rich alums (i.e., ones making a list of the 70,000 richest people). Here are the ranks in order of the number of alums making the list*::
You’d think that state schools like UM and Cal could rank even higher in producing self-made millionaires. For a variety of reasons, the other schools will probably have a higher proportion of students who later make the list because they have wealthy families.
*Note that I deleted the two internationals (Oxford, Cambridge) and one Harvard entry, since it is listed both for its business school and the entire university.
Sarah McNitt, a 2005 graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Information, will be appearing on the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions tomorrow night (Thursday, November 13) in one of the tournament's quarterfinal episodes. Sarah won five games in January 2014.
I figure, good that we have an online presence, broad of a representation of things as a "search" may be.
Tired of thinking about the inadequate leadership in our Athletic Department.
I will be heading to Ann Arbor for freshman orientation on Tuesday, and one task of orientation is to register for classes. I know many MGoBloggers attended Michigan, and to you, I would just like to ask for some scheduling advice in general. I am in LSA, but I'm going to be applying for Ross, so I will be taking a first year writing class, economics, and calculus for sure.
With that said, I am just curious as to what professors are good? Which first year writing classes/seminars are worth taking? I will probably be in Calc 2, but should I take Calc 116 or Calc 186 (honors)? Which econ 101 professor is worth taking? What other classes could be valuable? Any bit of advice that you could offer me would be very helpful. Thank you so much!
This is the greatest day of my life! I heard back from UM admissions today and was told that I'm in for fall of 2014! I've never felt such a great feeling in my life as when I clicked on the Admitted Students button at Umich.edu . I'll tell you guys now that I will be in the student section this year for all the games and will definitely be early and cheering my ass off. Go blue guys, and I've never been prouder than to finally be apart of the leaders and the best!
