The Detroit News will no longer use the term 'Redskins' in its football coverage, "reflecting the growing view that the term is offensive to many Americans." No word on whether the paper will discontinue referring to the state of Oklahoma as such, considering it quite literally means 'red people' in Choctaw.

I must admit I haven't been the most admiring of RGIII to date, but this was pretty darn cool - no matter what:
Griffin helped two local students invite a classmate to prom, and on the second occasion, the quarterback showed up at the school, Centreville High in Virginia, to do the honors in person.
This is pretty much the "norm" these days right? Kid asks celeb to prom, celeb goes (or doesn't). Or celeb "helps" someone ask another person to prom.
What is unique here, and endearing is this:
Morgan Assel wanted to ask her classmate Juwaan Espinal, who has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair and is non-verbal.
Good for RGIII and good for Miss Assel!!!!
Adam Schefter reports that Desean Jackson agrees to a 3 year, 24 million dollar contract with the Washington Redskins.
Slow Sunday after an impressive win yesterday. I saw these helmets this morning and thought they were pretty awesome.
Would anyone else not mind seeing some wings thrown on these as part of a true throwback style uni? I only post the idea since there was rumor of a "shinny helmet" being talked about for next season.
He was released on waivers by the Jags (?) recently. Apparently the Redskins are showing some love.
Skins have been doing a lot of restructuring lately with the pick-ups of multiple young quarterbacks, etc. Hopefully they have a spot picked out for Trent.
Jon Jansen was released by the Redskins.
If anyone has a youtube clip of Dumb and Dumber where they say, "Pick 'em up!" I feel like that should be the Lions motto right now.
