Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
I know most people are probably already winning the 2034 Heisman with Recruit X but throughout the year I like to occasionally start over with the actual Michigan football team. Anyone have a good updated roster now that we know the playing weights, numbers, and position switches?
I've been using a roster that someone from the Board did, but it has some things that turned out to be different: Black is still an end, Pipkins is wearing 99, no freshman receivers, etc.
I know, I know, I could go through and tweak everything I want just how I want, but I'm guessing some other OCD Michigan fan has already done that. Anyone have a good, updated roster for download? Thanks in advance...
I know we have had a few of these so to those who get crabby im sorry..I used the community roster at Operation Sports and reworked the UM roster for the UM fans who have had to deal with some error riddled rosters.."michiganman24" in the locker
As a sidebar to Ace's 2500 word opus on the main page, what works best for you in NCAA '13? As Michigan, as other teams, etc. If you're in a dynasty and don't want to put your strategy here don't worry about it. But for everyone else, what seems to work best? Any blitzes that help out a lot? Have a play that's always a TD?
I'd say that on defense I stick to a lot of Man coverage, usually 2 Man Under out of the nickel. Helps with all the screens the AI calls.
Offensively Michigan is pretty good at running Power, but I've found that it's better to the right. The Zone Read works very well, especially if the D is in man. I've also found draws are extremely effective to run the ball. In goal line situations pitch plays out of the I have worked well, as have slant plays and the speed option. In terms of passing the 8-15 yard game is much improved. Outs work well, as do slants. Screens have worked well for me too, especially to the left (dunno why).
What works for you? Any plays that would help the rest of us out?
So, I've been thinking about something for a while, and this post on EDSBS just confirmed it.
EA isn't making bad football games with their NCAA lineup. They're not sports games at all! They're TBS games with a football mini-game included! Why, all you need is some darnkess and a Grue and you've got Zork IV - Coach's Oddesy!
You are standing in your office in the Spartan Athletic Complex. There is a telephone here.
What do you want to do with the telephone?
>Call In-State Recruit
You call an in-state recruit. His response is very dark. You are likely to be eaten by a Hoke.
You are holding a fall practice at Kinnick Stadium. There is a team here. There is a bench here.
>Look at Bench
You see a playbook.
You see three plays . Run Middle, Run Outside, Pass Deep
What play do you want to call?
You cleave the Running Back with a thundrous blow! The Running Back is defeated!
You are sleeping at home on a Saturday night at 3 AM. Your cellphone rings.
What do you want to throw the phone at?
You can't throw that far.
You answer the phone and discover that your starting Middle Linebacker has just been arrested for DWI. What do you want to do?
>Consult depth chart
There is no depth chart.
How long do you want the indefinite suspension to last?
You issue a suspension through Friday. Tommorow's headlines will read, "Coach Meyer comes down hard on another one."
You gain Devil Horns.
Seriously, though, I nearly stopped playing NCAA because I got tired of some of the bull. Just let me play football!
Hey guys, quick question. My copy of NCAA 13 arrived yesterday (thanks to MaizenBlue13 for the rosters, I like them) and things were going great until I got to week 2 in the season vs. Air Force. First time in the game froze in the 2nd quarter. Audio stopped, screen froze on 1 shot, and controller stopped working. Hitting the power button on the Xbox instantly turned it off. Tried it a couple more times and the gameplay wouldn't even load. It froze during the game-loading screen. Same scenario.
I have a bought-from-a-store Xbox that's < 3 years old (so it should be under warranty.) I did get my first "red ring" with it this past week, 1 red light, E68, which it told me was a power supply error. Sure enough, the LED on the power block was yellow. Unplugged it all, plugged it back in, LED is green and no red ringing since.
Is this an Xbox issue that I get a hold of Microsoft for? A game issue? Haven't tried any other games yet, but I figured the board might have some experience with issues like this.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I know I didn't make it clear in the title, but ALL TEAMS are named in my roster file. The only rosters that I actually changed ratings for was Michigan, however all teams are 100% named. Changed Title.
NOTE: This is for XBOX 360 only.
These aren't perfect, in fact they're probably far from it, but if you want rosters with all the names and some tweaking to Michigan's roster, feel free to download them from my EA Locker, my Gamertag is MaizenBlue13.
There were some minor edits (Denard's dreads), and some major ones (player ratings).
Again, they're not perfect, but they're something. If you have any advice on how to better rate the players, post your tweaks in this topic and we can try to get as close to perfect as possible.
How to Download:
Go to Team Management -> Roster Share -> Download Roster -> Download Roster -> and type in MaizenBlue13.
You might need to go to File Management and re-load the rosters once they're done being downloaded. Then go to Edit Rosters to look them over, and make any changes you deem necessary.
All Coach names should be in the game as well.
