the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

OT: Voice of the Count has died
In tragic Muppet news, Jerry Nelson (voice of The Count, among others), has died at the age of 78.
A little info and plenty of memories via the link. RIP.
Muppets: GS Clients or MGOBLOG Fave? Discuss [ed]
Per Greg Smith's revelation that Goldman calls certain clients 'muppets', our endearing tradition now has a new cultural reference. Discuss. Also, "rip their faces off" is not entirely Goldman's creation either.
Note: For those not interested in financial services world happenings, feel free to pass by to the next topic.
OT: Muppets - Which came first?
As my 'joined' date suggests I've been a pretty regular user (and infrequent poster) for almost a year now, and a regular reader / follower for even longer. I've been attending Michigan football games for over five years since my days of visiting U of M football games in the students' section of the Big House (I'm a Grand Valley graduate, but having spent my freshman year at U of M - Flint, had their equivalent of an M-Card which granted me access to the student section. I digress). I made it to the SDSU game this past weekend and, for the first time ever, stayed to watch the band play as people were filing out of the stadium. To my surprise, closing off their post-game show, the band played "Temptation", followed by the announcer saying "...and you can't have one without the other", proceeded by the Hawaiian chant we are so wont to see posted here on MGoBlog after glorious Michigan victories.
This particular bit of diction from the announcer was of course more than familiar to me as a regular MGoFanatic, and caused me to wonder, "Did that announcer just totally rip-off Brian?" If so, that's hilarious and awesome, but I couldn't be sure if he's always done it, and Brian's useage of it is an homage to the announcer. So, which is it? I'm genuinely curious.
My apologies if this is common knowledge or has been previously discussed. As mentioned above, this was my first time staying to listen to the band after the game - I usually just leave.

Muppet Wolverines
I found this here picture over on a site people like to refer to as "www.reddit.com". But, I liked it, and I assume all of you will like it, for an entirely different reason altogether. Game night boys- get your seatbelts ready. Wolverines.

OT: Use Muppets Only After Consulting Attorney
Given the general relevance of Muppets to the board, I thought it perhaps worthwhile to suggest using caution when comparing professional athletes to said delightful Hensonistas:
MUNICH (AP) -- Star goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is suing another goalie for telling a TV audience he belonged in the "Muppet Show.''
Lehmann recently came out of retirement to return to Arsenal. While working as a television commentator in September, Lehmann criticized the performance of Tim Wiese of Werder Bremen in a Champions League game against Tottenham.
Wiese responded a day later in a newspaper, saying Lehmann should "go to the Muppet Show'' and be treated "on a couch.'
'Lehmann has filed a lawsuit and is demanding more than $28,000 for having his "personal rights violated.'' A Munich court will hear the case this week.
I would love to belong in the Muppet Show, personally. I've undergone so much Pavlovian conditioning that whenever I see them, I get the unique physiological response (e.g., heart palpitations, feeling of warmth, some salivation) that only accompanies Michigan victories.
