I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
Back in 2011, the board had several threads discussing the movie Answer This! It was filmed on campus and was in limited release. I never saw it but wanted to. Today I was poking around Netflix and stumbled on it. The story isn't great but it's not bad. The setting is tremendous.
If you are looking for some light entertainment with a Michigan spin, you should be pleased.
For all the movie fans out there, a little bit of fun on the board today. I was watching Paparazzi last night and noticed that Cole Hauser looks like a prototypical pocket passer. So my question to you is:
If you are casting a football movie (on any level) which actor would you pick for a coach? qb? any other key positions?
Must...see...this...movie....My Nerdy parts are tingling....
So, before the showing of Inception that I saw last weekend, there was a preview for a new making of Tron. I remembered seeing it back in the 80's but I was really young and couldn't remember any details or if I liked it at all. So, I had the wife order it from the library so I could check it out (we just recently started getting DVD's from the library - it takes about a week on average, but its free!).
After I watched it last night, I determined that it had to be the absolute worst movie that I have ever witnessed. I have seen lots of terrible movies and I usually enjoy them just for the comical aspect. With this, however, it was so bad it went right past funny and straight into painful (the only comical part was the outdated CG effects which I did appreciate). It was a complete trainwreck from which I could not avert my eyes. It somehow lacked all of the essential aspects of any movie - plot, dialogue, acting, character development, etc.
Having said all of that - you gotta see this movie if you have never seen it or it has been 20+ years. Just to marvel in its horribleness. Go to the library, though. Don't pay for a rental.
Does anyone have a movie they think might rival the pure awfulness that is Tron? I challenge you to name one!
I know I may piss off some hard-core sci-fi fans with this one, but sorry. Its bad. Really, really bad.
BTW. The only good part about this movie is that I now know where the image of Moses from South Park came from - those guys are pure genius.
I dunno. This looks pretty funny. Wouldn't it be cool to go back in time to 1986?
I like the idea of combining Twitter with Viagra: Twittagra!
So the other topic about great movie lines had me thinking about the cheesiest lines ever uttered from a actor/actress' mouth.
These are the ones that made you groan in disdain, with the worse offenders being remembered as potential great lines..
For me, two such lines are:
"You had me at hello." Jerry Maguire
"No one puts Baby in a corner." Dirty Dancing
Others? Come on - bring on the cheese!
