I talked to Logan after his visit last night and he reaffirmed Michigan as the leader for his services. He loved the treatment he receieved from the coaches, alumni and fellow commits. He specifically mentioned Shane Morris as being a great guy and doing a lot to help bring him on board.
He's excited about going to Alabama for a visit on January 28th, where he'll likely receieve an offer from Coach Saban. I feel like they're the only team that is a real threat to Michigan, but they'll be a real threat.
Per the Army All-American live chat today, Logan Tuley-Tillman announced a top five (in order) of Michigan, Alabama, Arkansas (just offered today), Ohio and South Carolina. He'll be visiting Ann Arbor for the Wisconsin game tomorrow and seems to really have a fondness for us. That being said, Alabama is near the top of his wish list and they haven't even offered him yet. He just took an unofficial there a couple weeks ago and when they do offer (assumption) it might get interesting.
More on Tillman:
Michigan will be getting a big-time unofficial visit from a junior OL this weekend:
To everybody that texted me yes Tomorrow i will Be traveling to the University of Michigan and go to the basketball game sunday— Logan Tuley-Tillman (@LoganTillman) January 6, 2012
I'll look to get a reaction from Logan after this weekend. He already has taken visits for both the Nebraska and Ohio State games, and named Michigan his outright leader, so things are looking very good on that front right now.
"Like I said before, I just will not let anything get in the way of me getting to where I want to be. There are just so many people with so much talent that I've seen in my city, and it goes to waste because they don't have that drive. Everybody can make excuses about this and that, but at the end of the day you have to be a man and get it done."
I hope where he wants to be is Michigan!
Nice write-up today in the Detroit News regarding him.
Highlights: He is already 6'7" 271 and he is only 16
Has family in Michigan and has been on campus twice for unofficials
Michigan is #1 on his list, and he will be announcing sometime before the football season next year. I am hopeful he brings his talents to AA! Here is the link
Just got a text from 2013 Peoria (IL) Manual OL Logan Tuley-Tillman, who said that he's just been offered a full scholarship from Michigan. Tuley-Tillman is a 6'7", 280-pound junior who project as a tackle at the next level, and he had early offers from Mizzou, Illinois, and Indiana. When I talked to him a couple weeks ago, here's what he had to say about potentially being offered:
ACE: How would a Michigan offer affect your recruitment?
LOGAN: I think that would shake up the whole landscape, and I'm pretty sure they would skyrocket to number one, just from what I've seen and the relationship I have with Coach Funk.
He's obviously in class now, but I'll see if I can talk to him further in the very near future. It sounds like Michigan is in great position with him.
