Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
Jim Furyk oversleeps and misses tee time!
Well...that could have gone better.
After Tiger's disastrous week at the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron where he finished 18 over par and in 78th place (on a course he has won 7 tournaments), the questions about Tiger's place in golf history might actually be worth asking.
The questions used to be "By how many majors will Tiger surpass Jack ?" and "At what age will Tiger pass Jack? 30? 35?", now what was once a foregone conclusion seems to be legitimately in doubt and the question becomes "Will Tiger pass Jack...at all?"
MGoOpinion Poll: Will Tiger eclipse Jack's 18 Major titles?
I was in a golf proshop recently and saw a display of these golf ball marking gadgets called Tin Cup.
It's a simple idea. It's a steel cup that you snap onto a ball and then use a sharpie to fill in a cutout in the steel. They offer the opportunity to customize your cutout template and my immediate thought was an iconic rendition of the maize helmet wings. (I'd buy a sharpie in the closest available color to maize.)
They want $40-60 to do a custom cut. (If they were smart, they would already be all over this idea of sports logos; maybe they don't want to hassle with licensing issues.)
Anyway, I'll pay the premium because this just seems too cool to pass on. Shit, a good dozen balls can cost over $50 -- why not dress them up?
Could someone point me somewhere that I can cut and paste some artwork?
US Open Open Thread is open for business.
Will Tiger continue to play well? What's behind his resurgence? What part of his old "pre-golf" routine is he back up to?
Discuss and have fun. Innuendo is encouraged.
Tiger has birdied 16 and 17 and is now at even par and 5 off the lead. He broke out a fist pump a moment ago. It would be weird if he wins the US Open on Father's Day. Here's the leaderboard:
I'm hoping that I can get some good advice from the community that is MGOBLOG...
Can someone offer a suggestion to a good beginner to intermediate golf club set. I have only been playing for about a year, but live right accross from a golf course and am starting to seriously consider myself a player. I'm all for buying the used equipment to save some cash, but I don't want to purchase anything that I will regret in a year.
I really don't know much about golf Brands, other than the obvious ferrri's of the sport (TaylorMade, etc.) and those are way out of m price rage. Looking to keep the total amount spent for under $300, and yes, I need everything. Thanks to all in advance.
