Demetrius Hart

I got a really positive vibe from the recent article about Clinton-Dix from rivals (http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1051540 behind a paywal I believe).

Here is one reason: "Hopefully me and DHart go to school together. We're still looking at it and trying to graduate early, so depending on how it works out it might be at Michigan," Clinton-Dix said. "We've got strong takes on Michigan. They were the first team to put me on the scene."

And some more good news: Michigan assistant coach Rod Smith is heading up Clinton-Dix recruitment for the Wolverines. Clinton-Dix has also spoken to head coach Rich Rodriguez on several occasions, but Michigan's most influential recruiter may be former Dr. Phillips wide receiver Ricardo Miller.

Come on Miller, work that magic!

Rivals list's Hasean Clinton-Dix as an athlete, but he played mostly as a safety and was often used closer to the line of scrimmage as an additional linebacker.

EDIT: Projected as a 4-5 star range by Rivals (although likely needs some stellar combine performances to reach that 5th star).

Damn I really want a solid Dr. Phillips pipeline... they consistently dish out quality talent.

Synopsis for those without Insider:
-Demetrius is on the ESPN 150 watch list and was teammates with Ricardo Miller.
-We still lead on Demetrius.
-Miami and Florida State are going to be tough competition.
-He attended several Miami games this year. Miami is probably the team to beat after us.
-The Florida State connection is current teammate and Florida State commit Kenny Shaw.

If Hart commits, do we give him #20? At 5'8" 175 lbs, it'd be deja vu and oddly comforting...the obvious answer is no. But obvious leads to very little blog-related hilarity.

(Yes, Mike Hart had about 20 lbs on Demetrius, thanks for stashing your red pens fact-checker-Nazis).

Probably the most well known 2011 recruit for Michigan fans is Demetrius(sp?) Hart. By all accounts he is an incredible talent and heavy michigan lean, thanks to our number one recruiter Ricardo Miller.

He sounds like a great player, however, I was thinking back to the literary genius from the newspapers the last time there was a diminutive running back named Hart at michigan. We were left with gems such as; "Hart Attack" and "running with Hart" and so on and so forth.

My question is, assuming Demetrius comes here, will the papers be able to step up the challenge? Did they exhaust their creative Hart puns the last time around or are they ready for more?
Also, anyone have any personal favorite newspaper headlines from the Hart years?

I believe that they will not only meet the challenge, but rise above and show off the full potential of the english language.
I, for one, am ready for a Hart-y laugh.
