Breaking news alerts from bleacher report just went out stating that Delaney will step down from his post, which he has held since 1989. Corroborated by USA Today.
Slow day on the boards. I've been staring at the UMHoops thread all day, so I figured I'd give everyone else something quasi-relevant to stare at. I've done too much actual work today.
On your way home from work / school / interviewing a Chinese sex worker, you are hit by a bus carrying the Dhali Lama, the Pope, Joel Osteen, and an atheist. The atheist laughs, and the other three say a prayer for you. Through some unholy union of the three prayers, you wake up and stare apprehensively at your weathered old man hands. Congratulations, your disembodied soul has transplanted itself into Jim Delany, like a boring version of Patrick Swayze in Ghost. You're stuck in a meeting with the AD's and coaches from the B1G football teams. The discussion is how to attract recruits to some school, ANY school, not named Michigan or Ohio State. What is your advice? It could be an overall approach to the conference. It could be pointed at a specific school.
Stay within the confines of what could likely happen. Don't cheat, this isn't the SEC. I'd like to hear how you, new Mr. Delaney, would actually do if given the power to persuade and oversee. After you kick Mark Dantonio in the balls, of course.
This thread is an attempt to consolidate information that will help save The Game. Below are some ways to speak up and help out. Please add information that will help with these options or add new ones. Please avoid discussing “pros and cons” of Big 10 alignment because that horse is currently a puddle of blood and horseshoes.
The message is simple: Michigan and Ohio State should play The Game during the final week of the Big 10 regular season, period.
Details beyond that are irrelevant until this is guaranteed.

Some ideas to start things off:
“Keep The Game the Same”
“Save the Date, Michigan Ohio State”
Start chants at Michigan football games
A Facebook Group is organizing a cheer at Ohio State's first home game on Thursday. With 10 minutes left in the 1st quarter, fans will rise and chant "Save The Game".
I asked the Michigan Facebook Group to email out an event for a similar chant at the Michigan-UCONN game and he promised that he would.
Finally, notify all of your friends, family, alumni, and Ohio State acquaintances of these options.
According to this Chicago Breaking Sports article, the Big 10 presidents could approve moving forward with expansion as soon as Sunday, with negotiations with schools during the next couple of months and a potential announcement by the end of June. The article also seems to indicate they are leaning towards 14 or 16 teams. Do we believe the article?
