Hoke: A.J. Williams and Courtney Avery are back— Michigan Football (@umichfootball) September 18, 2013
Gardner: Johnny Manziel sent me a text after the game telling me to keep my head up— Michigan Football (@umichfootball) September 18, 2013
I'm not sure how much to read into this:
Hoke on if same starting five OL will start Saturday "I don't know yet. We'll see what happens"— angelique (@chengelis) September 18, 2013
I know Dan Dakich is a hot button around here but it was a good interview with coach Hoke.
They touch on # 98 being reissued, Tom/Mark Harmon, the ND rivalry, Tommy Rees and Hoke helping young Dakich with his cross-over dribble.
Due to internet filtering at work I have to post the podbay link. Start at the 10:30 mark.
Here is the original podcast page for those of you not hindered by stupid work filters...
Notre Dame offensive linemen Zack Martin and Chris Watt recall Under the Lights I with irishillustrated.com, ranking the experience above some other notable away games:
"According to Martin and Watt, nothing last season - not Oklahoma under the lights or USC at the Coliseum - stood up to the Big House two seasons ago. It’s likely no stadium moving forward will, either."
I hope this year's game is two times as loud and leaves them with an everlasting impression of the big house. Go blue and beat ND!
Brady Hoke was on the Dan Patrick Show for about 10 minutes this morning. He talked Michigan-ND, Pizza Thursday, Clowney taking Smith's head off (I don't have any sound at work and haven't didn't listen to the broadcast so I am completely plagiarising here)...and of course Johnny Football. Cause why not.
The article above is mostly about what coach Hoke's answer to Dan Patrick's Johnny Football question, but it does have the video of the whole 10 min block where Brady is on. Anyway's here is my favorite quote of the article,
If Johnny Manziel's our quarterback, he'd probably be playing behind Devin Gardner.
Please embed the video in the comments if possible, since that's the only thing that matters.
Contrary to popular opinion a couple days ago, Brady Hoke said that Derrick Green is now the number 2 back behind Toussaint.
"Fitz (is) No. 1," Hoke said. "Then it'd be Green No. 2, then (Thomas) Rawls and (De'Veon) Smith and then Justice Hayes."
Obviously a lot of this has to do with the injury to Drake Johnson. It is interesting to me that he moved up the depth chart quickly. Sure, he had that great run against Central, but that had more to do with great blocking. Overall, his running seemed pretty "meh" that game.
I did not see this in the comments to the other post and if it is not "post worthy" fell free to delete.
Here is a BTN highlight video of "Tommy" Brady addressing the Michigan team:
