don't we all
Louisville 2014 signee Sharieff Rhaheed was arrested and charged with lewd lascivious behavior with his 14 year old cousin after DNA tests on the aborted fetus showed 99.9% DNA match. The investigation had been going since October so I don't how any school could have pursued him last month. The family knew about the investigation in November when he and his mother refused to submit for DNA test until warrant was served at his high school. Louisville got a good one in Bobby Petrino. On another note, his other main suitors and finalists: Mark Dantonio, Gary Pinkel, and Bret Bielema. I am not surprised at all.
Per CBS Sports:
" Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich will meet with Petrino's agent on Wednesday night to finalize the contract details and the school plans on introducing Petrino on Thursday. Yahoo also reports taht the Louisville Athletic Association's personal committee has called a meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday to discuss a personnel matter, and it's there that the committed is expected to approve Petrino's contract."
Bobby Petrino's now infamous Harley motorcycle (named Hawg Wild) is up for sale after his insurance company presumably totaled it. Current bid is $4,050 for the 1.6L 2 cylinder bike with 1,032 miles that includes ultra super awesome custom painting of Arkansas' mascot.
You just can't make some of this stuff up...
First we thought it was just a motorcycle accident. No big deal. Then it turns out there was a young woman riding on the back and a possible affair with the woman and complications from that. Now it turns out that a couple drove Petrino and the young woman to a rendevous point away from the accident and there is also an Arkansas State Trooper involved, who was scheduled to do a fugitive pickup but instead investigated the accident.
At this point, there are more questions than answers, but the coverup seems far more elaborate than anybody thought. Here are a few links with updates to the story:
Update: Here's another story that includes additional details:
I remember LC not being a big fan of the guy. I guess he was on to something.
Like most college football teams, Arkansas has decided to enter the fray of schools that just can't seem to resist screwing with a good thing. Their new Razorback uniforms for 2010 as modeled by quarterback Ryan Mallett. Arkansas' standard school colors are supposed to be cardinal and white. But it's 2010 and fashion suicide wouldn't be complete without introducing something, anything, that is black. How about facemasks? Yeah, that'll do nicely.
