a terrible blight on our fine country
Ohhh... ewww.... Bleacher Report...
But, pertinent information, and whatn't.
I remember disagreeing with the assertion that Touchdown Tom may want to coach after her retires. That thread floated around a while ago. So maybe this comes as a surprise to some, but it aligns quite nicely with my opinion on how he'd like to spend his retirement.
Back up off the negs for a second. Yes, it is OT. Yes, it is Bleacher Report. Yes, it is a story that has been beaten to death already. Yes, I read the META thread yesterday. Four strikes aginst me, and that is only in the thread title.
But this is a very insightful article from Ryan Riddle. I found it to be a pretty fair assessment on the BREAKING ESPN NEWS SEGMENT!! He covers it much better than ESPN ever will, so read this, then just turn off the radio or TV when some talking head like Steven A. tries to give you a piece of his mind.
Don't knock it til you read it. You're welcome for the cannon fodder, BiSB.
Interesting read, wonder how many will get significant playing time. Any omissions?
I read the Jefferson to Pistons post a couple threads down and decided to do some Google searching to see how serious the talks might be. I type in "Al Jefferson Pistons" in the news box and get a decent amount of responses as I expected. The thing I can't figure out is why the Bleacher Report seems to be among the top responses almost across the board, even in front of major news sources like msnbc.com and cnnsi.com. I dabbled a bit in search engine optimization a couple years ago and know a bit about how to get your links noticed, but not enough to fully understand why a crap site like BR constantly finds top responses in Google News. My best guess is simply the high volume of articles they pump out, but even then I am not sure. Anybody know why this might be?
