further adventures in Jed York being unsuited for his position
Austin Hatch will receive the United States Basketball Writers Association's Most Courageous Award at their annual luncheon during the Final Four in Indianapolis.
May not be the way he dreamed of reaching the Final Four, but it may mean even more now.
Today must be Autsin Hatch day at ESPN (I''m not opposed to making this a national holiday).
At 6PM on ESPNU, the full version of the SC Featured story on Hatch will be aired. But if you want a Hatch fix right now, I highly suggest you read Dana O'Neil's piece on Hatch.
I love this kid's story and am so proud he represents our university the way he does. A true inspiration to us all.
How is this not already posted yet. Gameday at Michigan.
Inspiring segment on Austin Hatch just a moment ago. Was neat to see J. Will pretty humbled and honored to meet him and sit with him for a few moments. Beilein was great as always!
Harbaugh has to make an appearance in a bit, right?!
Edited to make a better acronym.
Young Austin Hatch scored his first career point tonight. I loved the HUGE oviation he received. +1's all around.
At the game in Crisler. Austin Hatch just checked into the game. The bench stood up in anticipation every time Austin touched the ball. With less than a minute left Austin got fouled and missed his first free throw. After a deep breath and a second with his eyes closed, Austin put the ball straight through the rim, nothing but net.
It's unbelievable to think that just 3 short years after surviving his 2nd plane crash, after relearning how to breathe, eat, and walk, Austin has scored in a Division 1 basketball game. Amazing credit to Austin as a person and credit to John Beilein for giving him the opportunity. Go Blue
