before and after
There is a pair of shocking "before" and "after" pics of Jordan Morgan in a Freep article.
Personally, I find these pics more astonishing and incredible than the ones of Stauskas. Sanderson needs to be given a lot of credit for player conditioning. Seriously, these are like the infomercials we see all over.
I actually really like the article on JMo a lot as well. For those of you who don't have a hangup about Freep links, here it is:
Here are a few quotes:
He failed U-M’s first conditioning test, “the gauntlet.” It’s sideline-to-sideline, touching 17 lines in a minute. Then rest a minute and do another one. On and on. He didn’t just miss the standard. He had no chance.
Thinking back this week (to last year in the Tourney,) Beilein said Morgan “couldn’t have been lower in his life.” Morgan gives faith to God, who he feels gave him another opportunity. But he did most of the work, grounding himself with a summer Athletes in Action trip to the Ivory Coast, being patient in the first half of the season as Mitch McGary worked into shape, and seizing the chance when McGary succumbed to January back surgery.
