For those of you unfamiliar with the UFR Viewer, it is a web app (java-based) that expands your UFR viewing experience by letting you search or filter for plays based on a variety of search criteria or you can just step through the games play by play. For each play, you can instantly link to the corresponding video for that play. It combines Brian's excellent game analysis with the MGoVideo every-snap replays. You can access the UFRs for the past few years at the following link:
I don't have much free time this fall for expanding or supporting the app, but I will try to update content every week after each game. Enjoy!
No official confirmation, but WTKA said this morning that all of the tickets in the initial allotment for the Cowboy Classic have been sold out. If it's true it really sucks, normal season ticket holders and the Public never even got a chance to buy any. Hopefully the school can get more or something
New Orleans police are calling on the public to help identify an Alabama fan filmed draping his genitals on the head of a passed-out LSU fan for a vile prank.
Found this article on SbB regarding Trent Richardson and his supposedly cozy relationship with (now) estranged booster Tom Al-betar:
There are also a couple of articles regarding tickets T. Richardson received in a couple of very pricey vehicles of which he is listed as the owner:
Does this impact the game we play with Alabama? Given the evidence presented by SbB is it possible for Alabama to state ignorance (pull an ohio) and get off with little or no punishment? What possible sanctions would impact the 2012 Michigan-Alabama game? I ask because I have very little knowledge with regard to compliance and I know Mgoblog has recently become very well versed thanks to our love of ohio Schadenfreude. SIAP I searched and found nothing, including Mgoboard and other media outlets!
This was briefly touched on here:
But I think it's worthy of it's own topic given that it's Thursday of a bye week...
Scheduling the Alabama game is as clear a sign as Brandon can possibly give that he has every intention of sticking with RR through at least 2012.
It would be program suicide to walk into that game with a new regime in place given the youth and make up of our roster and that the most obvious succesors are likely to run a completely different offense that RR's.
I personally love it, as my handle indicates, I'm a firm believer that 2012 is the year we go "Medievil on their asses" for real. We're going to need to be legendary good given the schedule in '12...
