there would have to be some to wash away
2013 Michigan Basketball
If so, she's a good replacement for Chantel Jennings ...
Chantel was decent but her stories were a bit hokey (see what i did there). From what I've read, Dana has some writing chops of her own.
And what a time to be following the Wolverines. We are playing for Championships again !!
Go Blue ! Levert and Stauskas and Robinson for TRI-MOP'S!
After an incredible regular season of Michigan Basketball which will hopefully be followed by a great postseason, one has to wonder, was this season better/more exciting than last years? I know that we don't have Burke or Hardaway any more, but we also didn't experience the humiliating blowout in East Lansing or the embarassment in State College. Honestly, I was way less excited for this basketball season, thinking that a year like 2012-2013 was almost too good to be topped. Maybe it's just me, but I think when comparing the two seasons at this point, I think I am more happy with how this season has played out SO FAR.
Hopefully we have great tourney run that establishes this year's team as one of our best to play basketball ever - Go Blue, Big Ten Champions!
“We’re soft,” McGary said following the 79-69 loss that wasn’t quite as close as the score indicated. “We’re soft right now. That’s it.”
One such player is talented 6-foot-6 sophomore Glenn Robinson III, who some consider a possible lottery pick. Instead, GR3 went for eight points and looked like a deer in headlights, tentative and even disinterested at times. Count me as a huge fan of Robinson’s talent and character, but he needs to be more aggressive, especially when Stauskas is attracting as much defensive attention as he received Tuesday night.
“We were rattled and didn’t have the same poise we had last year,” McGary said. “Derrick’s going to grow.”
The Wolverines are a work in progress, and that was evident Tuesday night in one of the most hostile environments in the country.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day,” McGary said.
It's a fairly long article, but those are some key quotes from it. This team has a ton of potential, so lets try and hold judgment until February or March.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman took a six-day trip last week to catch six of the top programs in America, getting an up-close look at the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid, Wayne Selden, Marcus Smart, Robinson III, Montrezl Harrell, Adreian Payne and Noah Vonleh.
"Michigan's Glenn Robinson III was the most impressive player of anyone I saw on the trip.
There's more, but it sounds like he's playing with a lot more confidence on offense and has added more muscle. With Michigan football being frustrating lately, figured you guys could use something to cheer you up.
Sets up for a rematch vs VCU and potential rematch vs Kansas State.
