Who will have the biggest game tonight?

Over at Tremendous, I wrote up an article detailing why I think Devin Funchess is going to have a coming out party tonight

When Michigan’s hungry: Funchess munches. I’m not sure my creativity there even makes sense, but Funchess should be a prime target in this game. Play action pop pass behind OLB playing run first and trying to hold edge? Check. SS attempting to come down and getting beat on the skinny post or drive route (like a drag/post, about 10 yards deep, attacking the far corner)? Check. A stab (essentially a hitch toward the center of the field) and/or drag route (probably more drag due to Denard’s lack of height and trouble throwing over the middle) behind the fast attack of ND’s MLBs? Check. 10 yard out routes with WRs driving the man covering CBs and the OLBs trying to set the edge? Check. Wheel route on the OLB trying to stay on the out route? Check (Watch the FB here).

For ND, I think Wood is an early round RB. He's got a good mix of speed, elusiveness, and power to break arm tackles. With ND's offense typically being pass first, he has the ability to gash teams with a draw or a counter. I really like Wood (like Magnus really likes Cox (NTTAWWT)) and think he's going to have a big game for the other guys.

So what say you mgodenizens, which players do you see having big games tonight? Denard, the other Devin aka DG, Kovacs, Fitz? Te'o, Golson, Eifert, Nix III?

2012 Wallpaper - Touchdown Jesus Facepalm Guy - Notre Dame

This one's for you, MGoBlog readers; specifically those of you who slo-mo crowd shots to look for internet celebrity Michigan fans like Lloyd Brady.

The 2011 Notre Dame game brought us Michigan Stadium's first (football) night game, a crazy last minute, game winning touchdown drive and the awesome Facepalm Guy.

This week's wallpaper is a remix of my 2010 Touchdown Jesus Says "No Good" artwork. It seems appropriate for Touchdown Jesus to assume the facepalm pose in light of three straight Notre Dame losses on late fourth quarter Michigan scores.

The images below are previews only. You can get the widescreen, iPad and mobile wallpapers at The Art. The Art. The Art!.

From the Ed-S-itor: Some of you may have noticed the new ad on the top of the site:

(Don't be fooled by this size; in real life, it's really big!)

Meet the latest sponsor of MGoBlog, Sports Power Weekends. What they do is put together group travel for Michigan's away games (Dallas, Notre Dame, Nebraska, etc.) So instead of doing the driving and the booking and the ticket scrounging you just give these guys about what you'd pay for all of that anyway and they do it for you. They have a limited number of spots based on how many tickets and bus seats there are.

I have images in my mind of busloads of MGoBloggers singing "The Victors" all the way to Sound Bend. I have to take the family caravan to that one, but I'm gonna try to meet up with the bus at some point.

Their message is below. And yes, it's not too late to be in there for Alabama in one month (ONE MONTH! EEEEEE!!!!!) -S

--------------------------------------------

From Our Sponsor: If you are looking to follow Michigan on the road, you'll want to check out SportsPowerWeekends.com. It is a Michigan alum-owned sports travel company with away game packages for Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Ohio State this season. They'll also help customize sports trips and experiences for other Michigan (or non-Michigan) events you are interested in.

They handle anything and everything from game tickets, discounted hotels, gameday transportation, tailgates and even city guides and restaurant suggestions.

Check out this page for the 2012 Michigan football offerings, including limited remaining Cowboys Classic packages and buses to South Bend from Chicago (partnering with the U of M Club of Chicago) and Ann Arbor: http://www.sportspowerweekends.com/michigan-football-sports-power-weekends.
