ND game 91 Why we remember Desmond
McShay's Mock as it Pertains to Michigan
McShay released his 7 round mock draft today (I think) and here are where he sees Michigan players getting drafted:
Terrence Taylor: Round 4 Pick 7 (107 overall) - Jacksonville Jaguars
Morgan Trent: Round 7 Pick 24 (233 overall) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Will Johnson: Round 7 Pick 30 (239 overall) - Tennessee Titans
I think Will Johnson going to the Titans would be great because Tennessee is known for making defensive lineman better. I believe the defensive line coach didn't follow Schwartz to Detroit (damn, I wish he did).
Biggest recruit still left on the board that we realistically have a shot at getting?
Amidst the cluster f**k that is now Paulus gate there is a blue chipper that, reportedly, is on the verge of committing. Mr. Caleb Lavey is said to be close to making a decision. Which brings me to my question, of all the players still left on the board, by order of importance, who would you consider to be the most important "get" that we realistically have a shot at?
For me, it is Lavey. Because he is a tackling machine and the need we still have at LB makes him a must. Now granted, he is a step down from Luc, but definitely a force to be reckoned with AND he is gettable! (sp?)
After Caleb I would say Bryant at DE. The recruiting class is thin at the position and it is hard to find anyone of substance that has Michigan on their radar. This kid is gettable. Bonus, we pluck him out of Ohio and save another recruit from a life of well...being a football player in Ohio.
Sheridan to take first snap in spring practice
According to RR's presser right before spring practice it looks like Sheridan will get the first snap in spring ball. He, Cone and Tate will split reps equally. I shudder at the thought of Cone or Sheridan for that matter, getting behind the wheel again. But the possibility is there. There is one thing that this does however, it flies in the face of the rumor that Tate was going to get all the snaps in spring practice. Link below
Sorta OT: Henson vs. Pryor
I saw this theme run through another thread and it got me to thinking. The athelete vs. the pocket passer. Instead of keeping the topic in such a generic format I decided to give names and faces to the characters in question. Who would you rather have taking snaps for you, Drew Henson or Terrelle Pryor?
