Volleyball doesn't get a whole lot of coverage here on mgoblog, but if you're in the Ann Arbor area, you should come check out the last home game of the season for the current Michigan volleyball squad.

What: #20 Michigan vs. #1 Penn State
Where: Cliff Keen Arena, at the corner of S. State and Hoover
When: 6 pm
Cost: Free for students w/ Mcard, $5 for general admission

The team is great this year, and they've got momentum from a convincing sweep over Indiana last night. It's sure to be a good game, so come support the team!

I know this has been asked and discussed here before but I am wondering who is credited for taking the photo of Alan Branch walking upfield with a semi- conscious Anthony Morelli laying on his back from the M-PSU game from 2006?

 Where can i get a print of this for the holidays?

I'm an alum ('82' Engineering) living near Lancaster PA, and traveled to State College for the game Saturday.  After the witnessing the predictable 2nd half debacle, we met back at the car for some post game tailgating.  I was surprised to learn from my PSU loving friends that the Michigan bench players were taunting the PSU fans during the surprising first surge.  If anyone else witnessed this, I would like to hear from you. I would hope the players would have had the sense to avoid smack talking given the season it has been, in all its glory, and UM coaches would put a stop to behavior not becoming a Michigan player.

In any event, Saturday was a great time, even in defeat (although the 35 degree temp in the morning was a little chiller than expected).  State College is a great place to go for a game, especially the tailgating atmosphere, and the PSU fans are friendly hosts.  They even didn't get too pissed when I donned my "Who's Your Daddy" yellow T-shirt, with the scores of the last 9 games posted proudly on the back.  I am not sure I would dare to display a shirt like that in Columbus for fear of being flogged by the classy OSU fans. 

Penn State to Michigan is like that dirty girl from your hometown you can nail anytime. If you're ever in a slump, feeling needy, or just bored, she's there for you.

Then one day you go home and find out she has a boyfriend. You can no longer take advantage of her. After a decade of unmitigated penetration, Penn State has finally found a boyfriend.

Rest assured, she'll get restless and when the time is right, open that gap once again. Just as JoePa is old, arrogant, stubborn, out-dated, and destined to play second fiddle to the conference powerhouses, that girl is destined to return to her old ways. Waiting for Michigan Football to fully adapt to RichRod's ways, is like waiting for that girl to get sick of her boyfriend. It will happen, just give it time. 

9 Years….Let that sink in, 9 years it has been since Michigan lost to the Big Eleven’s Blue Headed Step-Child Penn State.  It ends this week.  This is the Saturday that the Big Eleven’s resident octatarian steps up and puts the bitter memories of the last 9 years behind Penn State.

You can make fun of Jay Paterno all you want, god knows I have, however between he and Galen Hall the PSU offense is running on all cylinders.  Someone somewhere in the booth is calling some great plays and they have more talent on the field this year than Michigan.  So as I said before, Joe is going to let everyone off the leash this weekend and the starters are not going to sit in the 4^th quarter.  Joe will run it up and the final score will be in the area of 63-14 the same way we trounced OSU in ’94.  Have fun on the road trip Michigan fans, you might have more fun at a Detroit Lions game.
