Michigan
May the FORCiers be with us!
This is probably old news - but a thread on CBS is saying that both older Forciers are trying to come and play for UM. I thought it was just Jason.
Jason -- "Upon graduating he will enroll at Michigan but he will enroll with greater aspirations than just working for a Masters degree. No, he still wants one more shot to play at Michigan. A shot Rich is more than willing to give him (unlike with Paulus)."
Chris -- "Chris is looking at Michigan as his possible destination. The thing is though is that if Michigan takes him it will be as a wide receiver. But reports from UCLA spring practice are saying that the talented Forcier has already been switched from the Quarterback position to wide receiver. So that shouldn't be an issue in his decision. He is the least talented quarterback of the three Forcier's but is the best athlete of the three."
Does anyone else think this totally kicks a$$?
This topic is probably worth less than a Greg Paulus rumor
I downloaded the YouTube video of Desmond's infamous punt return against Ohio State, and, in chopping the audio up made a few soundbites for when I sign on/off.
If anyone would like them as well they are in .wav so you can use them for AIM as well as windows sign on/off.

Favorite Moment of Michigan Football Saturday
I wanted to throw in an entry that would cause us to not debate or make fun of each other.
What is your single most favorite thing about a Michigan Football Saturday? Also, please back up your answer with reason...if applicable.
My favorite part of gameday is hands down when the Carl Grapentine says, "Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the 235 member Mmmichigan Marching Band, Baaaaaand Take the field!" That gives me chills just thinking about it. Here have a listen yourself.

My first game was when I was 5 and I remember hearing that. I am now 29 and every game it takes me back to that day vs. Long Beach State. Thanks Michigan Tradition!
SI, NFL draft, and star ratings
Sports Illustrated has an interesting look at Don Banks first round NFL mock draft and seeing where Rivals ranked those players when they came out of high school.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/andy_staples/04/21/mock/in...
Six players ranked #1 at their position from 2005 and 2006 (three from each year) are expected to be drafted in the first round, but so are a lot of two-, three-, and four-star recruits. There's even one zero-star. Thus showing once again that recruiting five-star players isn't the be all and end all, though getting a player who is ranked #1 at his position certainly has its benefits.
Lets play comparisions
So let's rehash a little SAT Verbal fun...

Can 2009 team be a 2006 team?
For those who didnt know, we started the 2006 season 11-0. So you may be thinking, NO WAY can this happen. But, did you know that 2006 team was supposed to be 5th in the CONFERENCE? Noone expected to start 11-0.
Thought of this when late last night the #1 vs #2 game was on t.v. I seen Tim Jaminson playing, greg mathews, taylor, MORGAN TRENT, etc.
We also had Lamar woodley, but this season we have Brandon Graham. We had Shawn crable, but this season we have Obi Ezeh. We had Morgan Trent, but this season we have Boubcar Cissoko/Donovan Warren. We had Mike Hart, but this season we have 3 senior RBs. We had Breaston(sr) and Manningham, but now we have ALOT of Wrs.
Yes your going to think im crazy on this, but thats because you know the 2006 team started 11-0, you dont know that about the 2009 team.
Remember, this 2006 team was preseason ranked 5th in big ten.
