Hey all, there has been interest in these orders before, so the club has asked me let yall know that the most recent order is live. I am no longer part of the club since I graduated, but many friends are still part of the club so I can gladly pass along any questions to the appropriate party.
The Michigan Cycling team is a Club-sport who competes in the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference. Other teams in our conference include MSU, OSU, Notre Dame, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, Case Western, Louisville, Northwestern, Cincinatti, Marquette, Miami (NTM), and a bevy of other small schools. Our conference also features a few schools that consider cycling a varsity sport including Marian and Lindenwood.
The kit order is once again live and this year they're added a couple more options including a special edition "Great Lakes" jersey.
These are the same exact uniforms that the team will be racing in next spring.
More information about the team can be found here :http://www.umcycling.org/
Prices do tend to run a bit high, but such is the nature of being a small fish in the big pond of paying university royalties and the like. Any proceeds go towards helping get team member's to races and most importantly nationals.

This story about my gym in Plymouth and the strongwoman competition training we do aired on Channel 4 a couple weeks ago. I wanted to share because it features a couple U of M baseball coaches' wives who have been long time trainees of mine. Emily (interviewed) and Jiffy (seen squatting in the background) are total badasses, as is the Michigan way!
After a blistering 77 on Thursday, Tiger withdrew late last night from the Dubai Desert Classic with "back spasms."
I think it is time for Tiger to call it a day. There can be reasonable debate over the legitimacy of his injuries, and whether or not he suddenly comes down with back issues of varying descriptions whenever he is playing really poorly. However, there can be no debate that, as of right now, everytime he tees it up and burns it down, it takes something away from his legacy as a golfer.
Personal exploits aside, he is probably the greatest golfer to ever live, or a least a coin flip with Jack, but I do think he is bordering on all of that being essentially forgotten at this point. Too bad. Bad for him and for the game.
Gilbert and Gores plan to submit a proposal on the land where the deserted Wayne County jail would be.
As an unabashed soccer lover, I would be all for this.
Both the USA/NFCA Coaches poll and the ESPN/USA Softball poll came out today, and our women are slotted at #6 in both. I have to admit that I find this a little optimistic, given how much talent we just graduated, but we've still got a great team. Hopefully we'll be able to stay in that top-8 & remain on track to host a super-regional.
Other teams of interest include #4/#3 Florida, #3/#4 Florida State, #8/#8 UCLA, #19/#18 Texas A&M, #20/#20 Kentucky, #21/#21 Baylor, #22/#22 Notre Dame, #25/#24 USF, RV/RV Arizona State, and RV/RV Cal State Fullerton, all of whom Michigan will see at least once in the non-conference schedule.
In the Big Ten, Michigan will be keeping a close eye on #16/#14 Minnesota, our toughest challenger for conference hardware, although once again we won't play head to head in the regular season. Nebraska and OSU both received votes in both polls, and Northwestern got a few from the coaches.
First pitch is just ten days away, and we've got yet another top-ten Michigan team with Carol Hutchins at the helm. Full season preview will go up within the week.
Since crootin' news seems to be pretty silent for the better half of today, I figured I'd throw a question out there.
I'm considering going back to school for a 2nd master's degree since my employer will pay for it. I already have an MBA from the University of West Georgia, but am considering getting the online MA in Applied Communications from UM-Flint as a resume kicker. My question is - will this degree be the same one that is printed for graduates of the main campus? Will it carry the same value on a resume, etc.? As always, appreciate the feedback!
