Tennessee is not recruiting well just because they got 18 dudes
Eldrick - Every week.... is he back? Is this the week? Will the old Tiger Woods please stand up? My take - Nope. There are a couple more majors left in that science experiment that he calls a golf swing, but I don't expect much at this point. He makes the cut, possibly stirs the echoes for a moment, but the product is too unfinished right now for the Stadium.
Rory? His mind is already in San Francisco. Don't think he dials it up here.
Phil? I think Phil is simply enjoying the good life right now. I think he is one of the few players out there that still can have fun when he doesn't win. Phil is going to play 4 "fun" rounds of golf this week and still cruise to a Top 10, but not the winner's circle.
Ricky? Take your Puma and get off my lawn.
The winner is........ Adam Scott. Won here in 04, under the radar year after flashes of brilliance in 11. Been a while since a competive round but will be well rested and ready to go.
(Don't put is past Sergio to get something going either. He has been sneaky good all year.)
He was a great children's book writer and very funny. Colbert interviewed him and just sent him off on his show.
Caught this in the Twitter-sphere today and thought it would be appreciated here. Apparently Mike Leach was at a book signing recently and....

Recently ProfitGoBlue playfully suggested that I was running out of ideas for strips. Actually, it's quite the opposite. When an idea for a multi-strip story arc like this comes around, the hardest part has been weeding out the material into a handful of self-contained scripts.
In short, there's plenty of additional ideas that could have been fleshed out, for say, the 'LADIES MAN' arc... Glenn telling Tom about the Sparty dress-up, Bump in the bathroom doing his hair and putting on his Drakkar, Bump actually on the date, stuff like that. That'd be fine for a daily strip, but for a twice weekly release like The Blockhams, that'd drag the story into several weeks, perhaps even a month. So by the time it was all over, no one would care, even the ones like Seth who hate me for hating Bump. That was a joke, btw.
All content aside, I'm curious to hear what you, the readers prefer-- self-contained, single stories or these multi-strip plots. The singles are easier for me to create, and certainly keep me from neglecting other members of the cast... but creatively speaking, the arcs have their own rewards as well.
Take for example, today's strip... I think it's safe to say that no one saw this coming, not even myself.
On Thursday we'll conclude the LADIES MAN story arc with an... epilogue of sorts.
THE BLOCKHAMS™ runs (typically) every Tuesday here at MGoBlog, and at least
every Thursday on its official home page. Also, don't forget to check out our newest
feature, Friday Roughs, a spontaneous low-end comic based on trending
Michigan events, available on Twitter and Facebook every Friday.
The Michigan Softball Team jumped 2 spots to #27 this week after 2 convincing victories over Wisconsin. Illinois is the second highest rated Big Ten team at #46, Wisconsin is now #49.
ND dropped 1 spot to #29. They swept Pitt over the weekend. Now they head into the Big East Tournament. Barring a complete sweep dominating performance, it is safe to say we can stay ahead of ND with a good showing this weekend against Purdue at Alumni Field.
This is important because it is possible (but not likely) that a #2 mid-west team could host a regional. Regionals are set up by geography to limit excessive travel. So a team like Hawaii will probably not get a home site unless they are in the Top 5 or so. Currently Hawaii is ranked #20.
It is also possible that we could end up traveling to Louisville or Tennessee. Mizzou is the third closest #1 seed but this might be a little far for us.
We need to take care of business against Purdue this weekend. Then we should have a better picture of what the tournament will look like.
John Marinatto, Big East commissioner has quit:
he claims to be leaving because the ever changing landscape has settled, not because the big east has been killed by the shift. probably not true. now if we can just get delany to go...
