Before people flip out about Michigan's offensive line, note, he doesn't work with football:
In his 15th season as a member of the strength and conditioning team, Cole coordinates the strength and conditioning effort for the men's soccer, baseball, and men's and women's tennis programs at Michigan. In addition to his currently assigned sports, Cole also has worked with volleyball, softball, field hockey, women's soccer, men's swimming and diving, ice hockey, men's basketball, wrestling, and men's and women's track and field. In May 2012, Cole was named a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the College Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).
Holly Hein (WS) a finalist for Senior CLASS Award
Michigan women's soccer is off to a 10-2-1 start this season, the best start in program history, and Holly Hein is one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Fan voting is 1/3 of the final tally and goes through Nov. 25, but let's pull her out of this early rut: VOTE HERE.
If you don't follow the WS program much, Hein is a redshirt senior, second-year captain and was an All-Big Ten defender last year. Here's a full bio, but she also was diagnosed with thyroid cancer her second year on campus, underwent surgery to have it removed and redshirted that season to recover.
OT: Final Day of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying Open Thread
This may be OT but it is a huge event that many people on the board care about.
Today is the final day of CONCACAF qualifying. The U.S. and Costa Rica have both secured spots, while Honduras is guaranted at least a play-in game against New Zealand. Mexico needs a win and a Honduras loss to guarantee qualification. If Panama beats the US and Mexico loses to Costa Rica, then Mexico is completely out. If Mexico gets at least one point or if Panama doesn't win, then Mexico gets the play-in spot. All games start at 9:30.
Costa Rica vs Mexico
Panama vs USA
Jamaica vs Honduras
The U.S. game is on BeIN Network.
OT: ALCS Game 3 Open Thread
It's three hours from first pitch. The hell I can concentrate at work. The Tigers are up against a much eviller empire than the one in New York. Time for JV to do his thing. Go Tigers.
(Edit: I removed most of the inflammatory language.)
