Well, not much to really say about this other than watch the video.
For those who need more incentive -- it's a video of a shirtless Darko singing and giving beer to his tattoos, as the URL suggests.
With Spring springing, Harbaugh uber-trolling and the season on the horizon, it's time to gear up. I'm looking for a Michigan pullover windhirt/golf jacket like the one below. This one lists for $50 and is pretty cool. Any MGoTips on where I can find it cheaper, or another version that is too Harbaugh to not add to the collection? (This one's right up your alley WD)
Here is the link to the live scoring of the event.
Somehow, in 2015, the B1G is unable to televise, or even live stream, a tournament championshiop. I'm sure they'll say that they aren't able to get camera crews to the event, despite it being held just outside the 3rd largest city in the country.
Please be gentle as this is my first topic thread. I live in Ohio and every other year one of my friends organizes a bus trip to a Cincinnati Reds game. Its all out as we have a charter bus, get a suite, etc. The game wound up being a rain delay and eventually postponed, but even so, they still had a ceremony for the 25th anniversary of the 1990 World Series Champions team. Our suite wound up being next to the suite for the team from 1990 so all of the players from the team walked past our suite and we got to shake hands with most of them and some even stopped in our suite to drink beer. Some of you will remember the Nasty Boys and they passed by as well, some of which stopped to talk to us. Long story short, I approached Barry Larkin and made it clear I was probably the only Michigan fan in the stadium and asked for his autograph and he obliged. I asked if he has spoken with Harbaugh and he said he has. Just thought it was a cool story to pass along. Go Blue.
Now that it's baseball season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full gear, it got me thinking about my different levels of interest in different sports.
For me, I have started following the Tigers for the last 3 or 4 years, and have watched parts of every game this season. However, I don't think I've ever watched a nationally televised game between two teams if the Tigers aren't one of them. Even playoff baseball I'm not interested unless the Tigers are playing.
With hockey, I enjoy it but only really watch these couple of weeks when the Red Wings are in the playoffs. Again, don't really watch any games other than Red Wings.
Back in the day, my go-to answer would be college football. I used to love game days where Michigan played at noon and then there were a slew of top-25 battles in the afternoon. Recently--maybe in the last 2 or 3 years--I've stopped following college football outside of Michigan. It's strange, though, because Michigan football is still the team that I follow closest and care the most about.
At the end of the day, I'd have to say it's NFL for me now. This is mostly because I am very mentally invested in my fantasy teams. It makes for a weird viewing experience, because outside of the Lions, I truly don't care who wins 80% of the time, yet I can still watch just about any game and be entertained by seeing which player does well for whatever team is on.
So, MgoBoard, what are your personal preferences on the matter?
The Red Wings need to win another game in Tampa Bay. Game 5 on.
TV: FSD, CBC, NBCS
LET'S GO RED WINGS!
