further adventures in Jed York being unsuited for his position
I was worried it was an April fools day prank, but when I checked Wolverine Access today they had posted the admissions decisions.
I am overwhelmed to say that I was admitted to the BSE CS program as a transfer student. I can't wait until fall! Go Blue!!
For those interested in the University proper, North Quad yesterday had a fire suppression pipe go and seriously flooded a floor and leaked into another. Badly enough they needed to be evacuated.
Tweets with pics, vid, and comments (obviously)-
(find the looping video pretty funny)
And the University's "huh, wha happen?"
Be interesting to hear from people on here who might have been displaced by the problems there. Wouldn't expect this out of the newest, fanciest dorm (and one of the newest buidlings) on campus. I imagine I would be kind of pissed. Especially in this age of electronics.
Edit: More AA.com photo fun-
Todd Fuhrman has a funny quiz up today, to see how bad of a gambling problem you have. It's all in good fun, and I'm rather proud of my low score despite having at least 2 items in each section.
I figured the Board may get a kick of of it, as JamieMac, the resident gambling expert thought that his number wasn't so bad. Also, couldn't help but think of coverage on this site:

I scored a 37, how did you do?
It's OT to be sure, but it's after midnight, and we've gotten our second "do we root for Big Ten teams" thread in as many days, so the boards aren't burning down. And this is a Kickstarter for something IMPORTANT. Since the government refused to fund building a Death Star (no politics) someone has taken it upon themselves to protect and save the earth-
If we get the word out, the sky is not the limit, and this just may work. Sure, creating city gardens and helping communities and feeding people is nice, but how is that compared to the ability to destroy a planet?
Give early; give often.
