this guy evidently hired to work for AD
So I took Brian's suggestion a bit too seriously and decide to make my own B10 logo. Let me know what you think, and let's use this thread for any logo submissions.
A couple of things: The "i" is divided into 12 pieces. The piece that looks like it has a raging inferiority complex represents michigan state. The arrogant one is us. The gradient at the bottom was included to represent the rich past, steadily moving into an exciting, wide-open future. The "Ten" is intentionally in a somewhat more elegant font than you'll see on any other conference logo -- it's intended to represent a collective focus on academics that is largely unique to the Big Ten. The lightish blue, sadly, is there out of neccessity. The other options were pink, teal and brown.
Yes, I know this was a bit of a waste of time.
Just off the wire: Favre is inactive for first ever.
With the chaos that was the ticket giveaway at Ford Field, coupled with the Vikings poor performance as of late, Giants/Vikes may get ugly quickly. True attention should be paid to the Texans/Ravens game as Baltimore's defense has been quite short of intimidating while Houston hasn't moved the ball as effectively as they want. Huge playoff (for those from Michigan, those are the things after game 16) implications in both games, though...
In honor of Favre, though... play him away Piano Cat!
Here's the link...
Akron vs Louisville just got underway. 15 minutes in, scoreless.
Go Akron? If you can't beat them, at least lose to the champs?
There is a nice article in tomorrow's Chicago Tribune on former Michigan undergrad and Law School grad Eric Lefkofsky. Lefkofsky, 41 years old, started up the company Groupon, and just turned down an offer of $5 billion from Google for the company. Needless to say, he has done well. My guess is that he doesn't spend too much time here on mgoblog, but who knows? Regardless, nice to see a positive article about a recent Michigan grad who appears to be a huge success. Sounds like someone who probably is a suite owner for football games?
You know what everyone on this board needs? A drink(s).
Seriously, look over at the MGoBoard - numerous 50+ responses on so many OPs, and most related to stress inducing topics.
Let's all take a breath, maybe a shot, and remember that drinking together makes friends forget their "little" differences of opinions. Maybe when we're all good-and-Friday-drunk we'll remember that it's all about UM football and its great fan base (Or, maybe we'll all just get piss drunk and e-fist-fight).
I'm starting with eggnog and Beam as soon as I get home
'Tis the Season!!!!! And Go Blue!
