things go poorly
Wire came across that the relief pitcher for the Rangers, who played 59 innings, beats out A-Jax for Rookie of the Year. Complete and utter bullshit. The grind of 162 games and impressively consistent production is far more valuable. Shit. When does spring training start?
After 10 years in Chicago, I just got a new job in NYC and am moving at the end of the month. I fly out this week to find an apartment, likely in the Brooklyn area, and am looking for any general tips on neighborhoods. I hear Williamsburg is a cool spot, though i also see on craigslist a lot of good deals in places such as Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Bed-Stuy, etc etc. Any places i should specifically check out or avoid altogether?? Ideally for work, I'd be close to a subway line that can easily connect to the F line. Many thanks for your input.
I finally got a smartphone last week. Android 2.2. 3G, not 4G. Is there an app I need to download to be able to watch ESPN3? I was able to log in, but when I click watch now nothing really happens. Same question for Big Ten Network live streams (haven't tried that yet).
So as we approach that time of year (and no, I'm not Christmas Creeping, Hannukah starts in very early December this year and I have like 3 weeks to figure all of this out) I thought I'd request some help from the MGoBoard with regards to Michigan gifts - specifically art.
I know the upstairs at MDen has some great framed M Pictures, but none of them are available on their website. The only time I might be able to get something in person in AA is at the Big Chill, and my guess is things will be crazy busy/expensive then, plus Hannukah will be over by then.
I'm wondering if anyone has any good websites for ordering M pictures/artwork in frames. Two sites I have from the AA Art Fair are http://www.adamjacobsphotography.com and http://www.jankaulins.com/g15+.html, but neither of these sites has quite what I'm looking for.
(Not trying to sell art, or anything like that, and Mods, if this is too OT, please remove. Thanks!)
Just wanted to drop a big thank you to MGoBloggers who helped out with my MBA interview when I asked for it. The interview was last Thursday and thanks to the folks that offered up their assistance and expertise, I was able to rehearse and be comfortable with my answers and I think overall it went pretty smoothly. Particular thanks to whoever posted the interview wiki site, which was helpful beyond belief. No doubt in my mind that if I get accepted, MGoBlog will be a big reason why.
