"What (Michigan coaches) told me is that they're focusing on point guards right now, but if anything opens up, they'll definitely come back on and recruit me as hard as they were," said Towns
I judge myself for thinking this is hilarious, and he's okay. Apparently a member of the spanish guard passed out in the heat in Madrid while the prince and princess of Spain were greeting Charles and Camilla. At least he fainted in proper position.
Not sure what his association with the school is, no information on his wiki page. Just found it hilarious in the face of all of the other criminal, alleged or otherwise, activities in Spartyville lately.
We're just over a quarter of the way through Pakistan's chase of 261 to win - which means a couple of hours left before what's shaping up to be an exciting finish. Winner plays Sri Lanka in the final in Mumbai.
Mods, feel free to delete if this is too far off topic.
This is Gus:
Gus is a nearly 2-year-old American Bulldog. He enjoys walks, playing at the park, and food. Lately, he also enjoys severe allergic reactions caused by unknown stimuli:
It has happened twice now, both within the last week. His face swells like a balloon, and he develops a serious hives on his legs and neck. A shot of antihistimines at the vet has solved the problem both times, but that's a rather expensive trip to take regularly.
I have no idea what is causing these reactions, but it doesn't seem to be food. The vet seems to think it might be spider bites, but we haven't seen any spiders around the house. Have any MGoDog owners experienced anything similar? Any advice? Preferably advice that does not involve anal glands?
I recently found this picture when going through some stuff my dad saved from when he went to michigan (class of 85), and I want to know what game it was from (it might not be from when he was at UM). I was hoping that maybe one of you remembers some of the players or even the game; Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for the bad quality. Some hints that I have been able to find out so far:
We were playing MSU (back when they had numbers on their helmets)
You may not be able to see it because of the quality, but the number of MSU's returner looks like its 28. It definitely starts with a 2
EDIT: smaller pic:
For all the fans out there of Chicago Based Goose Island Beers...
Anheuser Busch is buying them. Hopefully they will let Goose Island keep brewing their own stuff and they wont mess with success. The 312 is my favorite wheat (more beer less citrus than say, a Blue Moon or Oberon) and Matilda is just delicious.
My last time in Chicago I saw that they have a "Green Line" brew, which is brewed using all local ingredients, sold only in Kegs only in Chicago, and for way cheap. I thought that was a cool thing, and hopefully some of those small business style things keep going.
Any other Goose Island fans out there? Any other similar beer suggestions for when/if AB screws this up?
EDIT: WSJ Article has a pretty... upbeat take on it http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20110328-709258.html talks about how GI was struggling to meet demand, and most of the staff (less the Brewmaster) is staying put
