For most of us, our fanatical and absolute devotion to Michigan sports have gotten us into some degree of hot water at the workplace. Few of us would be so indignant, of course, but that wouldn't necessarily make for good reading, would it?
On Thursday we'll keep up with Tom and his ongoing altercation with THE MAN, namely the eternally grumpy Mr. Boyle.
THE BLOCKHAMS™ runs (typically) every Tuesday here at MGoBlog, and at least
every Thursday on its official home page. Also, don't forget to check out our newest
feature, Friday Roughs, a spontaneous low-end comic based on trending
Michigan events, available on Twitter and Facebook every Friday.
I'm trying to track down something of a master list of CFB blogs...does anyone know where this might live? The B1G is obviously an easy target, but what about the other conferences, both BCS and non-BCS.
Its that time again! Time to find out what everyone is up to this fine Friday morning/afternoon. What are you up to? Any good plans for the weekend?
Me, I'm sitting at my desk as usual. Trying to stay awake. I've been up since 12:30am taking care of child-rearing obligations and I'm exhausted. Staring at a computer screen does not help keep the eyes open either.
Still trying to sell my car and get a new one. Selling a car as a private seller is a lot of damn work. Not to mention the fact that I've gotten 2 scam emails thus far. They are hilarious. The respondent is claiming to be at sea without access to cell phone but access to email. They say they'll pay asking price and ask for my PayPal account because that's the only way they can pay. Idiots. I responded to one saying "Nice try. Go scam someone else. Oh, and I just reported you to the authorities." F-ers.
P.S. I'm going to posbang my own thread again because its fun and it feels good.
P.P.S. Chick-fil-A for lunch today! Mmm mmm good.
Tigers will happily put May behind them. After the malaise days of May, there will be no June swoon.
Scherzer vs Beckett, this won't be an easy one.
I just wanted to thanks any MGo readers or bloggers who have served in the military, or have had family who has seved to make this country as great as it is. Thanks for doing something me myself didn't have the guts to do. I really respect all of the branches of the military and thanks for our freedom. Today is your day enjoy.
Tigers are playing poorly BFD. The Tigers are 6 out on May 25 BFD.
A little perspective for anyone not versed in baseball lore, we have to go all the way back to 2011 to find struggling teams with well respected managers who turned disappointing seasons into legendary comebacks.
2011 Tampa Bay Devil Ray were 9 games behind the vaunted Boston Red Sox on Sept 4 but came all the way back to secure the Wild Card spot behind the guidance of Manager Joe Maddon.
2011 St. Louis Cardinals managed by the incomparable Tony La Russa were 10.5 back in both the Division and Wild Card race in late August, but came all the way back to eventually win the World Series.
Not saying the Tigers are going to win the Division this season, just that it is too early to bail on either this team or Jim Leyland
