I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
Ladies and (mostly) gentlemen of mgoblog. We have been lied to by an individual claiming to have advance knowledge regarding our favorite school. I propose we gather our digital pitchforks and torches to storm the doors of his digital fortress. I don't know how any of this happens though. Does anyone have any digital mob experience in order to topple this false soothsayer?
There were several threads a couple months ago about Man vs. Food at Blimpy's and Tio's (meh). The show is going to air on the travel channel next Wednesday, October 20, at 9 p.m.
Also, at 8 p.m. the same day is the Detroit special which includes Adam at the Heidelberg Project and Slow's BBQ.
Michigan Today has posted another in its fabulous series of James Tobin-authored Ann Arbor vignettes, this one on Dominick's, the role it played in the studies of a math Ph.D. student in the late '70s/early '80s and the impression he made on Dominick DeVarti.
Maybe I'm the last one to know this bit of A2 lore, but according to the article there's a link between Dominick's and Dave Brandon.
Here's to the geniuses like Zevi Miller who over the years have taken up temporary residence at Dominick's and here's to "the genius of homemade sangria in glass jars".
I cannot be the only one who thinks this is a blatant rip-off of The Victors commercial for the U of M:
(I suck at embedding...any help is appreciated....)
EDIT: I'm the only one. I could see some DISH employee basically using this as a template...
So I'm scrolling down by facebook homepage as I boredly procrastinate on homework when I see one of my friends taking heat from state fans because, you know. My friend (we are both current U of M students) retorts with the whole "state is a crappy school" schpeel, when another state fan quickly swoops in and begins going off on how "only michigan's grad programs are good" and that Michigan's undergraduate program is terrible and only skates by on the rep of the graduate schools.
Now, this is clearly not true, as a glance at any undergraduate ranking would tell you, but all slander usually has a kernel of truth, or at least an origin of sorts. Where would State fans hear or be told such a thing? and is there any truth to it?
Is anyone else getting a green box that says "MP3 Player cache updated" on the top of every page at MGoBlog, or is it just me?
