to play football, not to play trumpet
Enjoy the weekend fellers
My advice to Bryan Mone
Steve Patterson the AD over at Texas has been compared to Dave Brandon on the blog before and I'm sure will be again. His most recent genius move was to force popular Texas sports blog shaggybevo.com to change their name. This was briefly covered on todays front page. It created some first world problems for members like not being able to find the site and login problems, nothing huge but just another straw to help the camel's back.
I could imagine the justified uproar if Dave Brandon made the blog change it's name over some "MGO" trademark or something. I hope Texas can get rid of their CEO style Athletic Director like we did.
Now there is a certain user on that blog that some of you might know, but all of you should get acquainted with. He is a master artist with MS Paint and covers college football in season on weekly basis. He has a great take on Patterson's tenure at Texas so far. Now before you click know it might be a little NSFW so, ya know... Also offseason.

The Wolverines added a verbal from 2018 attackman Javon Johnson, a shifty skilled scorer from the St. Anne's-Belfield program in Virginia.
Johnson joins a loaded 2018 class featuring players from both coasts. The full list of 2018 commits is:
J.P. Lannig, A, Syosset (N.Y.)
Alex Bamford, A, Brunswick (Conn.)
John John Lombardi, M, Irondequoit (N.Y.)
Luke Summers, M, Central Catholic (Pa.)
Zach Johnson, M, Landon (Md.)
Emmett Jones, D, Lakeridge (Ore.)
Rich Dion, D, McDonogh (Md.)
Devin Gilligan, D, Shipley School (Pa.)
Jack Schlendorf, G, Oregon Episcopal (Ore.)
It's been a great couple of weeks for sharks. Let's face it Shark Week on Discovery, SharkFest on Nat Geo, a sharktopus saved the Florida coastline from a whalewolf and a great white tried to hug a professional surfer in Australia. Well the lovable bastards are back in the limelight, for tonight at least...
Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No, premiers tonight at 9PM eastern time
Los Angeles survived the the first natural disaster, then Manhattan braved through the second event. Now it seems the whole (f)East Coast from Washington D.C. to Orlando will be engulfed in sharknadoes. Just how do ravenous sharks get sucked up into massive tornadoes and thrown across land, only Tara Reid knows. This soon to be box office(or whatever TV movies get) champion will have some serious talent in it; the likes of David Hasslehoff, Frankie Muniz, Bo Derek, Jerry Springer, Chris Jericho, Brad Keselowski & Mark Cuban as none other than the President of The United States of America
3x the sharks, 3x the nado & 3 simple words Oh. Hell. No.
God Bless America.
Checked out on True Detective? Not a fan of Ballers, Power or Ray Donovan? I think I found the perfect cure to your Sunday night television blues. The network premiere of soon to be future Oscar winner for special effects. This action packed adventure film will feature Hollywood heavyweights such as Casper Van Dien and Catherine Oxenberg
When a sexy mad scientist mixes the genes of a killer whale and a wolf, it creates the problematic Whalewolf, and it's up to Sharktopus to stop it. Coming off last years impressive victory over the equally daunting Pteracuda, I have to think Sharktopus is the betting favorite to emerge victorious.
It's the most epic freaking battle of 2015... the Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf!
Johns Hopkins has been accepted and will be the 7th member of the B1G in Women's Lacrosse and the 2nd sport affiliate in B1G history with the Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse team being the first this past season.
The top conference in the nation just got tougher.
Maryland just won the national championship and is insanely good every season, Northwestern at one point had a 4-peat national championship dynasty, PSU finished second in the B1G last year and OSU was in the top-10 at one point this past season.
Gonna be tough but Michigan's program that just finished its 2nd season ever but will only get better by playing that kind of tough competition each week. Similar to what Field Hockey did back in the late 90s/early 2000 when they won the National Championship in 2001.
Hopkins will play their first season in the B1G beginning the 2016-17 year.
