I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
Only single seat tickets remain. From the article, "Officials expect the attendance to exceed 105,000."
The announced attendance for Big Chill at the Big House was 113,411. However, due to electronic scanner failures at the entrance gates, as explained at the time, several thousand tickets weren't scanned. Guinness' official number of 104,173 only counted tickets that were scanned.
And for those in the community who are bean counters and/or enjoy reading about the amount of revenue the U-M Athletic Department takes in -- and sources of the revenue – I give you this little nugget…
The NHL is renting Michigan Stadium on Jan. 1, 2014, for $3.1 million. Athletics will incur $600,000 in expenses associated with hosting the game.

Michigan goes for the series split in Omaha tonight
Michigan takes on Nebraska-Omaha for the late game, a rematch of sorts from the 2011 NCAA tournament.
Only in ohio folks.
Let's talk about some not-football everyone.
#1 Minnesota topped #4 Notre Dame tonight 5-4 (of note were a few really dirty plays by the Gophers including a 5 min major for an intentional knee-to-knee hit)
#3 St Cloud beat #7 Miami 2-1
Since that means both of those series split, we'll probably see a bit of a shake-up in the rankings Monday. I'll bet we see #1 Minnesota, #2 Notre Dame, and #3 Michigan with Michigan getting a small amount of first place votes (maybe)
Also of note, things that are good for our RPI at this point:
State was swept by Tech
OSU swept Niagara
UNH got a sweep of UMass
and RIT managed a split
Hockey. Yes. Not football
COLLEGE HOCKEY WATCH
As many of us know now, Michigan is ranked #2 and is not playing this weekend. However,
#4 Notre Dame beat #1 Minnesota, 4-1
#7 Miami beat #3 St Cloud St, 2-0
Will be interesting to see what happens in the rankings next week as Michigan may start seeing first place votes. I would be shocked if we slid up to #1 as a ND-Minn split likely sees Minnesota stay at the top and a ND sweep likely sees them leap up to #1 but it's on the radar as of now.
Also, Tech, BC, and UNH won tonight which will be helpful for us down the road as far as SOS and RPI go.
