courts be like "why is it a problem if people get money"
NHl Central Scouting released their 2015 NHL Futures List (people to keep an eye on this year). Michigan is kinda-sorta leading with 6ish commits on the list. The 'ish' being because Zach Werenski is yet to be officially on the team though he's semi-officially committed.

Generally speaking, Boka, Connor, and Werenski are all viewed as potential 1st round picks next year. Warren, Marody, and Miletic are probably early to mid round guys and Cecconi may be drafted as well. Should be an awesome recruiting class for us as long as the OHL is fended off successfully.
The BU-BC rivalry should be awesome this year as BU has potential #1 overall pick Jack Eichel and BC has likely the #1 defenseman in the draft (and top 5 overall) in Noah Hanifin. Eichel's the likely Hobey winner in my opinion. I can't recall college hockey having so many really elite talents in a single class.
Edit: Oops. Somehow completely missed that Cooper Marody was on the list.
Andrew Copp is continuing the legacy of the #9 jersey. Very quietly and no fanfare, it is THE number in Michigan Hockey. Past #9s-
John MacInnes, Al Renfrew, Red Berenson, Mel Wakabayashi, Brendan Morrison, Andrew Cogliano, Travis Turnbull
The Hobey Baker winner is back home.
DET signs Kevin Porter to a two-way deal. Split last season between BUF (NHL) and Rochester (AHL).— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) July 1, 2014
This should lead to early playing time for Alex.
Last year the schedule was released May 21st. What gives? Any dekers or hockey insiders know what is up? I don't find it on MGOBLUE or anywhere else...
Zach Nagelvoort taken #111 overall (21st pick of 4th round) by the Edmonton Oilers.
Congrats Zach and good luck down the road. You'll need it in Edmonton in 3 years unless all their #1 or #2 picks finally pan out.
Is he at risk of being plucked early by the OIL?
