"He's a hard worker, and he watched me and Tim (Hardaway Jr.) and Nik (Stauksas) put work in to become (first-round picks), and I'm just happy he's getting better," Burke said. "It's great for the program, too. It shows what type of program the University of Michigan is and the direction it continues to go in."
This popped into my head when Brazil played Germany, and with the way the Brazilian's have started against the Dutch, just solidified the thought.
So pick your favorite non-Michigan team, and imagine they're playing in the semi-finals for their sport. You've got a friend we'll call "Bob", who can't watch the game live, and is DVRing it and bubbling up until later that night.
But you watch it live, and it's a blowout. Over in the first 10 minutes of the game. Soul-crushing. Etc. Etc.
So my question is, do you spare "Bob" the pain of watching the game, "live", and shatter his bubble?
Or do you let him experience it all?
Slow day on the board if you aren't wrapped in "LeBron: The Musical Circus".
I've known this for awhile now so I figured I'd post it just as a minor equipment update.
This season, Michigan as well as the other adidas schools will sport the new adidas Shockwave socks.
Here is the verification from the same adidas catalog that I found last year's Team Speed socks in-
Better look at the front and back of the Shockwave socks.
These are the Team Speed socks Michigan wore last year in road games. Somewhat similar to what they wore in the Cowboys Classic in 2012-
I've noticed that adidas 2014-15 player gear and equipment theme has to do with electricity.
For example, here is the Aftershock hoodie.
Just saw an interesting article on ESPN Wolverine Nation about the 4 criteria that makes up the average B1G champion. The criteria are 1) top 40 scoring defense, 2) top 30 rush defense, 3) control the turnover battle and the clock, and 4) rank in the top 30 of rush offense. Basically they are saying the B1G champ all boils down to running the ball and defense. ESPN seems to think Michigan either is on the fence or meets all of those except the last one. I think most of us are pretty confident that this year's team will be fairly stout on defense, that there are enough skill players on offense, yet we are all concerned that the o-line will be competent enough to get an adaquate running game going. Do you buy this criteria?
Does anyone have a definitive answer to what the B1G bowl tie-ins are this year?
They have changed drastically. Affiliations that rotate yearly with new slotting as well.
The only thing I think I know is that if the B1G Champion isn't in the playoff, they WON'T go to the Rose Bowl.
